My son can sing too and he is really good at it but he can't win even an amateur singing contest here in the Philippines. Really to be able to win, you need to standout given all of the contestants have amazing voices.

My children and grandkids have good singing voices and practiced a lot with karaoke systems as our readily available background music without the support of actual instrumentalities.

I agree the fact that her voice is pretty common in the Philippines but her power to control her vibrato is crazy., that's the hardest part to master and I think That's another reason why she got 4 chairs..

Coming from a fellow Filipino (fil-am tho), there are a lot of talented Filipino singers yes, but sometimes what lacks from common singers in the Philippines is originality. She has originality and freshness to her voice which for me is above a lot of Filipino singers
