I agree. He probably was a teacher. I actually worked at a college in the building that had Elementary Education, that's little kids right? And there were a couple of fairly odd/sketchy people in those classes studying to be a teacher. As far as I know they graduated. - Thanks for watching!

Danny M he fits the bill; I’ve known guys like that before, auto repair business and being a huge shyster the whole time to make money, trashy husband and father. He fits the category well.
But Rosita explained her back story. She was a quiet mousey girl who was timid and slept around having a wild and independent streak. Each boyfriend or lover she had saw her as helpless so they taught her skills when she asked to learn them. The skills went from hot wiring cars with a mechanic and car thief to shooting guns and bomb making from a guy in the military. It was touched on in Season 7.

We find out from her conversation with Sasha, Rosita learned everything she knows from the men she traveled with after the virus broke out. While she confessed that she hated the feeling of having to rely on men for protection, it helped her to gain the skills of a trained soldier in a fairly short amount of time.

The most important professions would be medical related. At the farm there was veterinarian Hershel and apparently vet tech Patricia. Otis the farm hand may have helped Hershel with large livestock because he recognized the equipment needed at the FEMA camp at the school where he and Shane went to get stuff for Carl's operation. At the prison we find that the Woodbury group had the African-American woman physician Dr. Stevens.... our first MD after Dr. Jenner at the CDC. I think Jenner must hav been an MD along with other medical degrees. Some of the VATOS staffing the nursing home in Atlanta may have been nurse's aides or orderlies.... but deleted scenes show most of the were killed.
Dr. Stevens (who was in the comics) apparently killed by the Governor. Then Lily.... Tara's sister was a nurse for Martinez's group that the Governor takes over. The prison finally gets Dr. Caleb an actually MD physician AND Bob the army medic. Alexandria has Dr. Pete Anderson and Dr. Denise Cloyd and the Hilltop had two brothers- the Doctors Carson who have both been taken now to The Sanctuary. There is supposed to be a doctor at The Kingdom but the person's name and gender has not been revealed.
So.... with no nursing schools or medical colleges producing nurses and doctors.... these people are worth their weight in gold during an apocalypse. But with all the survivors.... only Dr. Carson now with Negan and an unnamed doctor at the Kingdom are all who survive.
I thought the characters we don't get backstory for were just mutant experiments, Rosita somehow has survive the fall while still managing to fight people like Beta with her flabby noodle arms, Tara somehow managed to go from being incredibly fit while stuck in an apartment for a long time to going out into the world, having a drastic cut in food and is constantly working and moving around got chubby, i understand Michonne and Rick getting some muscle, they keep finding them protein bars somehow, Daryl got thick instead of muscular though, probably ate better than anyone, Aaron got absolutely jacked while Jesus got skinny. By the time the whisperers showed up everyone was looking like they had been eating very well for those past 6 years, except of course rosita for some reason, who's still got them noodle's flailing around.
Eugene was a science teacher and Milton also had some sort of science career. Alisha... Tara's first girlfriend was a member of a state national guard.... one can assume the Georgia Guard. Andrea was driving her young sister Amy back to college from their home in Florida when the outbreak hit. So, Andrea the lawyer had a college student sister. To survive.... they joined Dale who had an RV. Dale's wife had died before the outbreak.... and it was never said what he did other than he was retired. In the comics it does say Tyreese is a football player so for the TV version's actor Chad Coleman to say the same if fine. Otis was a farm hand for the Greene family... and his wife Patricia having some medical skills may have been a veterinary technician for Hershel's veterinary practice.
Deanna's husband Reg was an architect... and was psyched to mentor Noah who wanted to build things. Noah and Beth were obviously older high school students at the outbreak. Olivia was a barista at a coffee shop who also had a hobby of smoking meats which helped in preserving food in Alexandria. She then worked "inventory" at Alexandria. And of course Fr. Gabriel was a priest with his own parish and congregation. Tobin apparently worked construction / labor before and after the disaster. And Francine was inferred to have either served in the military for awhile or have been a police woman. I think that it was if anything a stint in the military.... OR ELSE she would have been a cop in Alexandria.... and Rick and Michonne were the first cops.
Jim from season one was an auto mechanic. Morales' occupation was unknown but apparently did well enough to allow his wife Miranda to be a housewife and be a stay at home mom for Liza and Louis. Mrs. Shelly Neudemeyer was obviously a well to do housewife. Nicholas the opposite. It appears ONLY when he arrived in Alexandria did he and his son Mikey get to live in a nice house AND Nicholas got his beloved billiards table. Jessie Anderson worked in a hair salon.

Your Rosita facts are all wrong. She didn't have any sort of experience at all before the outbreak. She picked it up from "boyfriends" she had after it happened before she left them.

Ooops Tara's sister Lily was a nurse. And their father.... was a truck driver for a food packaging and snacks company. This was significant because these are the supplies that helped the family survive. That and Tara scavenging among the nearby apartment buildings. The Chamblers were in Mr. Chambler's delivery truck full of supplies and products when they went to pick Tara up at the police academy which was apparently in the process of being over run.

I once had conversation with someone about what would happen in a fist fight with Negan and Abraham. Since the person was Negan fanboy he told me to stfu stupid but typical for his fan base though. This video now makes it harder then was then to believe negan would win. something revealing that negan was in the MMA would help me believe cuz come on a history teacher and ping pong coach vs a US military veteran wtf.

well, although the stuff about the govenor is true, he isn't actually Philip Blake. He is actually Brian Blake - Philips older Brother. He became the govenor and took his Brothers name after he killed him and two others in the forest outside of Woodbury. He kept Penny because he couldn't stand the fact that he was the one responsible for looking after her when she was shot and died - it's all in the less known book series that tells the story of Woodbury and how it came to be. Brian (aka the govenor) wasn't a bad guy at all until he shot the real Philip.

You are correct. Great info. There is a trilogy of books TWD: Rise of the Governor which your info happens....the other two are TWD: The Road to Woodbury and TWD: The Fall of the Governor. These novels really take you into the other side of Woodbury, the back story of the Governor and his rise and fall. While we were watching Rick and the gang on TV, this was happening along side. Great reads.
Yeah, I'm halfway through book number 3; the fall of the govenor part 1 as of now! Really makes you see the govenor and Woodbury from a different perspective. You should make a video about it sometime! Perhaps compare the two stories and who was actually the bad guy? Because in the books (and Comics) the govenor rapes Michonne for days, although when she escapes, she cuts off most of his arm, pokes his eye out, stabs him A LOT and mutilates his genitals - which you probably already know, but I just find it horribly fascinating.
horribly fascinating - haha. That's crazy! I don't usually put every little detail in videos about multiple people and thought the entire backstory summed up would just confuse people for this vid. I want to do a video on his backstory....he has a character analysis in my upcoming Human Nature video. I usually try to stay on show canon when I can but knowing what other gruesome things he done helps establish his villain cred.

The backstory of the governor in the 3 or 4 book series done by Robert kirkman reveals the governor wasn't really Philip.
Phillip Blake is the governor's younger brother taller than him by about 3 inches and after Phillip died Brian (the governor) went insane repressed who he really was (a coward) told people his name was Phillip and asked himself constantly "what would Phillip do" interesting fact Brian tried to open up a cd, DVD, and vinyl store right in the centre of Atlanta but when the virus first surfaced he fled to his parents home in waynesbourgh (I can't remember how to spell it) where they were killed later on and he, his brother, his niece (Penny), and his brothers two friends (his brother's wife had died around the time of Penny's birth I think and Penny's mother died of breast cancer I think) all my information is from "The Rise of The Governor" book by Robert Kirkman.
Phantom - you are correct. I think this has been addressed in the comments somewhere but the source is a 3 volume set of novels by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga and released October 11, 2011. They are a spin-off exploring The Governor's rise and fall. I knew about these at the time of making the video but had read them. Since many viewers know only show Governor I stayed away from the novels to save that whole backstory for another video. I would assume that he lived off his parents like you said lol. I looked up Spencer Monroe Comic character and the description said that 'Spencer is a rather hesitant man who has ideas but can't carry them out to the best of his abilities'.

As you may know, Beth was just a character in the show and not the comic. She was just a high school student before the outbreak. Remember her boyfriend from high school, Jimmy, was on the farm in the show as well. - Noah was at Grady Hospital when Beth met him. Nothing is known about Noah's life prior to or after the outbreak except that he and his family had lived in Shirewilt Estates, a walled-in neighborhood within Richmond, Virginia. He went out of his safe zone with his father and ended up in Atlanta where his dad died and he get caught by the Grady people. - Thanks for watching!

The governors real name is Brian not Philip. Philip was Brian's brother and Philip was also penny's father. Brian took Philips name and daughter after he was shot after the governor had killed Woodbury's prevues leader. Penny turned when she as shot almost point black by a group of raiders as Brian Philip and their small group were ambushed. My source is the book TWD Rise of the Governor.
