Dear Lord, please allow MANY audiobooks to be released being read by Jack O'Connell, I want to hear him speak in that calm tone as long as possible! Amen!
Jack O'Connell in Unbroken is superb because he seems a completely different person, the first time I saw him I thought he wasn't the same actor because of the dyeing hair and the accent, and then I saw he was british, so he does an amazing job not just acting, which is brilliant, also with the accent, you can't hear any whisper of his thick accent. I fell in love with him in this movie and then I watched Starred Up and '71 and wow! every film I see of him leaves me speechless. He's so underrated, in my honest opinion he's one the best uprising actors nowadays, hopefully the time will give him the success he deserves.
Have you seen Godless, the western on netflix. Completely different character on there too...and money monster. LOve all his movies and tv. Watched the Runaway TV series too
Watching him in Skins so long ago and seeing him in Unbroken now is so surreal. He's grown immensely as an actor and as a person. But he remains consistently fantastic in all of his roles over the years, I'll watch anything he's in.
Seen Jack's work and watched his interviews, but this one is so good. He's so calm and relaxed, and even though I might not have enjoyed the interviewer that much, I did like that the interview was really slowly paced, allowing Jack to clearly answer the questions.
Very interesting interview!! I just finished watching this movie Unbroken and now I can't get enough of finding out more about the filming process. Jack was perfectly cast, that's for sure.
Just watched SAS Rogue Heroes. He is an amazing actor. I once read that the sign of a good actor is that at the beginning of their career, you don't actually recognise them for the first few years. Gary Oldman is an example...Sid and Nancy, JFK, Dracula, you just wouldn't know it was the same actor. Jack O'Connell is exactly the same with Eden Lake, Starred Up, Unbroken and SAS Rogue Heroes. At some stage though, the public really start to take notice and that's happening. He is going to go far. He has screen presence and charisma that not all actors have...only the greats.
I agree, he's amazing in starred up, that's what caught my attention, now I think he's an unbelievable actor, hopefully he has some great roles in the future!
How can Americans not understand various British accents? We manage to understand the different American dialects that we hear in film or on tele. How hard is it to not do the same?! He's not speaking fucking French.
i think its the lack of exposure to british accents/television.most mainstream films/television shows shown around the globe (especially in English speaking countries) are American so its only logical that the American accent be more understood.
I look....another "I hate American s crusade" maybe your ignorant ass doesn't know that the USA has so many accents in every part of each state. I'm Creole and when my roommates parents came to visit during family weekend from Bristol, they thought that I was mocking them! you think you've heard every accent? most US accents you hear are bland. grow up
but why his accent aint an exotic novelty for you if you were raised close to his enz usually its yanks that melt at accents like his ..what about his accent so compelling.

Frances Bridges he’s from derby ain’t it so what do you expect
His Twitter handle is wrong. It's actually @JackO__C
1:36 the strain on his face not to say something mean. Americans really are so full of themselves
Derby >
The most awkward interview ever. Going on about Skins. What about everything else he's been doing n.
He certainly jumps around a lot during the interview. Rubbing his face and all. He is also difficult to understand.
brazil5657 that's how us Derby folk speak. Down to earth people!!
O'Connell looks like how I imagine an average rent boy. Nice bloke tho'
