god the name pronunciation in the voice actors is all over the place. some are def actual chinese speakers if not native while others are clearly have never heard it and are reading it with english phonics
I hate how every english dub these days uses what sounds like the same set of voice actors. They sound lazy and disinterested and ruin the dubs IMO. Are they in a union or something? Because it's crazy they can be this bad at their jobs and still work on so many games and anime. Always flat tones of voice with robotic emotion at best. I know Funimation does that where every one of their dubbed anime uses the same english VAs who sound like they barely even care about their job.

Lord Shampoooo💅💅
You know you’ve been playing these games too long when you *do* know all of those characters…
I proudly know them all.
2:52 "I'm a vessel of Lord Dong." This game has layers!
My guy, if you have not witnessed the insanity that is Dynasty Warriors English VAs over the years, you are missing out.
Look up DW3 English voice acting.
@@insoporous9978 Thanks. I don't know you, but the entertainment potential here seems vast.
Literally me
Imagine going to Vietnam and seeing something priced at 69,000 Dong
@ Well, you were right. All I can do is pay it forward when I know someone needs inspiration.
Dynasty warriors 2 was my first game. After all these years, I still remember Lu Bu
The game is aptly named because you must memorize the origins of an entire dynasty to be able to follow the story (and a couple of them are warriors i think i didnt pay attention)
3:31 "Of course I remember you _____ "
Finally… a game where I can use a sword.
1:55 Oddly hilarious now I think about it.
Americans entering rednote learning Chinese people exist for the first time be like:
0:13 Dude with swords can't trust that
So game is 0 out of ten, Because game broke 2025’s game motto women with a sword type
3:33 Of course I remember Lord Shampoo
And Empress Conditioner
And once again Chen Gong is the best character.
In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms he saved Cao Cao because he tried to kill Dong Zhou (which Chen Gong thought was really cool), but then Cao Cao killed Lü Boshe (who is related to him by blood, but not actual blood, just through being the blood brother of Cao Cao's pappy Cao Song) and then he went "Well, that's not cool, the man took us in" so Chen Gong was Chen Gone and then he reappeared as the advisor to Lu Bu (the former adopted son of Dong Zhou) and helped him conquer places and getting the better of Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, but then got besieged by Cao Cao and when Lu Bu was supposed to push to the attack, but his wife - Diaochan - got a sniffle so Lü Bu was like "No" and then he was executed by Cao Cao, who tried to bring Chen Gong over to his side and Chen Gong said "I'd rather be Chen Gone" and no one laughed, because that joke has been made before.
i was really sad when dw9 was such a flop and afraid where this game franchise is going to be, but with origins, damn we are so back, played the demo and loved every bit of it, really hyped for the full release !!
Full release is great. The best the series has been since 5 IMO.
god the name pronunciation in the voice actors is all over the place. some are def actual chinese speakers if not native while others are clearly have never heard it and are reading it with english phonics
There are probably only a handful of professional voice actors globally who speak both perfect English and Chinese
At least it's not "cow cow" bad
I hate how every english dub these days uses what sounds like the same set of voice actors. They sound lazy and disinterested and ruin the dubs IMO. Are they in a union or something? Because it's crazy they can be this bad at their jobs and still work on so many games and anime. Always flat tones of voice with robotic emotion at best. I know Funimation does that where every one of their dubbed anime uses the same english VAs who sound like they barely even care about their job.
Grandma said she loves you !
I love you too grandma
Love you Grandma!
Just so you know, most of us who love that part of the history know these names like the back of our hands.
1:11 Kindly Miquella.. what are you doing here?
this game really makes you *feel* like a Dynasty Warrior
truly another name-remembering type game
Bro this actually feels like a classic dunky video thanks man
1:33 You have to reflect on your accomplishments.
Was actually pulling into Dairy Queen here
0:40 too real
2real4us
1:04 Nah, they are just KO'd. No killing !
I actually remember pretty much all these names from dynasty warriors 3 when I was a kid and used to play this game surprisingly.
1:44
"...with very authentic music from that time period."
*electric guitar intensive*
Honestly, the fact that this is just a solid hack and slash without being another goddamn soulslike game makes it infinitely more original than most of what you can expect in the hack and slash space, which is amazing considering that it’s a game that’s like the twentieth-something in a series not counting spin-offs
it's all slop
This game really makes you feel like a giant princess
Since every Dynasty Warriors has all the 'major' characters, you eventually get used to hearing the characters that all appear in the same place and all the major battles that occur in every iteration of the series.
Honestly though, favorite Yellow Turban Rebellion intro was the Dynasty Warriors 2 one. BGMs banging too!
His point about the game being about peace and then killing 1,000 enemies has shown me that Dunkey must play Drakengard
Does anyone get any peace in Yoko Taro games though?
If you play enough dynasty warriors/warriors orochi you start to recognize each character
3:42 You forgot all three? I can't even count to three!
gabe?
Romance of the Two kingdoms
"And then I go get ice cream from Dairy Queen". Dunkeys a man after my own heart
Dunky wants to be pinished by Cao Cao. Who can blame him? 😳
Love that you used the DW3 soundtrack
This is a much better Last of Us 2-Type game than the last one.
I can't believe they made an Who is it type of game. This will revolutionize the gaming market.
What an original game
The consistency and quality of your videos continues to impress me after 12 years, it’s actually amazing.
I feel bad for Dunky, having to remember all of their names.
They should just erase their names like a dragon
He racist towards chinese, always makes fun of their games.
Wait till Dunkey finds out they also have courtesy names. Cao Cao is also known as Mengde. Zhuge Liang is Kongming.
@@AxleTrade Funnily enough those are the only two figures who's courtesy names I remember off the top of my head.
I find a weird perverse joy in having played these games, mostly just the bone garbage ones, so much that I can recognize 20% of those names. Basically memorized.
Wait a second, this isn't the switch 2 leaker apology video
ashens fans will of course also remember the famous compose ji plug pu melon nai
2:53 "Lord Dong"
Bwahahahha
3:33 "Hang Dong"
@@kaelwdhe hangs dong
Dunkey playing as the legendary Lil Fredacheenie really shows how much he cares about historical accuracy.
Femboy appreciation 😌
0:16
"Alright, I'll bring a new age of peace."
"One Thousand Kill Bonus!!!"
LMAO
"He looks like a pretty princess so you get the best of both worlds."
Ahhhh, Dunkey, i knew you were a man of exquisite taste.
Dynasty Warriors is one of the few games to press my nostalgia button. Last game that did that for me was Dark Cloud.
This is like “Fast and the Furious Origins” after the 20th movie comes out in the near future.
Brings back the PTSD from 3 kingdoms, so many factions, so many generals... I couldn't remember a single one of them
This is a Dynasty Warrior type game
“Sometimes you’re larger than a mountain, sometimes you’re smaller than a goat.” - Confucius
2:19 I see this is a Kingdom Hearts type game
Dunkey covering a _Dynasty Warriors_ game is honestly all I needed in life.
