The terms used in Pakistan need to be debunked and some of these are: state, national, linguistic, provincial ,etc. Here state means military; national means erosion of historical culture and everything beginning after 1947; linguistic and provincial rights demands imply destruction of country and the same is a taboo subject; any sympathy with a co-ethnic and linguistic group in another country denotes abandonment of loyalty to this country and to forget about local heros irrespective of their contribution. Bacha Khan’s freedom struggle is more than any body in Pakistan studies, but to mention him means the linguistic and divisive tendency.
Secondly those who have served the British in military or civil service shouldn’t be presented as public friendly individuals. Some of them are Ayub Khan, Musa General and Sikandar Mirza.
