      How about asking where he bought it...? Obviously not the same gold...

    • @TheSluicers
      @TheSluicers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brentfarvors192 We thought something like that at first too Ill be honest, but have you ever heard of secoundary deposits? Gold can come from two different sources on one creek, paticulary larger nuggets, if you don't believe me we have a video of when we found a $1000 nugget in New Zealand, and it was also quite different looking from the other smaller nuggets. Also larger pieces will also get polished and roughed up a lot less as they will generally find one spot and stick in it due to their size. Cheers

    • @brentfarvors192
      @brentfarvors192 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSluicers Even if a secondary deposit, the gold content is going to be the same, since it came from the same original source of gold, being glacier, or volcanic...Maybe 1 or 2 rare occasions where both are present. Definitely NOT the case here...

    • @TheSluicers
      @TheSluicers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brentfarvors192 Yeah, I dont know if its planted or not like it could be, but I really don't think thats the case. The weathering on the gold can still be very different depending on the size and it can still have come from a different part of the stream which can be different looking, and yes they are going to be the same orignal main main source of gold, but there can still be different deposits and veins within that, like gold from around the Coast is all different colours depending on where you go, and you can get sites where you will get different types of gold in the creek, with gold from one tributary being one colour and purity and the other being different, as I said we have experienced it first hand, I would just upload a picture if I could but if you go to our channel and watch the $1000 nugget video, and I can assure you that was not planted and dug straight out of the river with our own eyes, you will see they can be very different.

    That gold could be rolling down the bank near where you found it? Ppls inclination is always to look upstream for a source. When it can be shedding from 2 meters away up the bank. Worth a look.

      @@KiwiGoldHunter If schooling in NZ is how I remember, and you paid attention in class, then you would have been taught about the Māori Wars, yes your ancestors welcomed the English with open arms and warm greetings, thinking they where just stopping to restock their ships, not realising that the English had plans of invaded the country and taking over, bringing with them musket guns, which the Māori's very quickly learnt to use until both sides where shooting at each other, lots of musket balls can still be found, especially in The King Country and Waikato areas. Kia ora mate.

    Fools Gold! Iron pyrite!!

  • @thegeck9978
    @thegeck9978 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like iron pyrites after you broke the rock open. From rolling around In the boil holes has knocked most of the native rock from the shiny one. The fossils could come from upstream from a flood and they got caught in the holes thus spinning them around and making them round. The material or mid that created the fossils is very dense but fragile making them smooth. Head upstream and look for breakaways near the bed of the stream.

    • @thegeck9978
      @thegeck9978 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also looks like you got a piece of fulgurite. It’s the piece that has the longer ridges and round like a pine cone. Check out some pics of desert rose glass. They are easy to find in desert regions due to lightning strikes, but can be found in other regions.

    • @KiwiGoldHunter
      @KiwiGoldHunter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesime yes the more and more I look into Iron Pyrite is what these finds are looking like which is awesome! Nice little rocks to add to my collection! Dont think desert rose is likely but pretty cool, would love to find some ⛏🤙🔥😁 thanks for watching hope you enjoyed 😁

    I hate to remind you guys, but unless you're using film or magnetic tape, there is no footage. There's really only little zeros and ones in a computer matrix somewhere. Locked in a magnetic box. The bianary numbers are the big secret to programming thinking machines, it is a mystery of logic. A profound string of perfect never ending numbers.
