- I return to one of my favorite amusement parks, Kings Island for the first time since 2022.
I celebrate The Beast on its 45th Birthday, Happy Birthday to The Beast! I have been riding The Beast for about 30 years and it still holds up!
I ride some of my favorite coasters like Orion and Mystic Timbers as well as the classics like The Bat and Adventure Express at one of the best coaster lineups in the country, Kings Island.

I went to KI this past Monday took my 10 year old daughter her first time and I had no been there in 13/14 years and I was impressed with how they got riders on and off very efficiently great video man
They really need to stay open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays from June 1 to August 1
Sorry the time we do that is on The 31 Of December for The Midnight spectacular New Years celebration
Ohio Casualty day in the early 80's. We lost our minds from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. !
The 540 helix is the best roller coaster element ever!! Hats off to Jeff Gramke and Al Collins who designed the ride.

Live 10 minutes from there. This year we got passes to the aquarium downtown instead...

The night lineup is really the best. So many coasters are great at night. The Beast is still my favorite. It dominates at night.
I’m going to kings island today and I’m planning to ride every ride depends on the wait times
just took my son on his first night ride on the beast.... it was after the park had officially closed pitch black and insane
I also got to ride on the original bat there was also a stand up roller coaster called the king cobra

I told someone this was the greatest coaster the other day to scoffs (I'm 1000% right..) and then this pops up in the feed. Stuff is always on.
Indeed man! Good stuff! I rode the beast the first time when I was 7 yrs old in 1981 at night at P&G day. Remember it much as you stated with the electricity in the station. I was just tall enough and they checked me again and everyone was yelling "let him go".
I also rode the original bat that day in the morning. Never forget either of these experiences. My dad (now deceased) was such a neat guy to have shown me these rides and made me an enthusiast. My son now loves coasters too.
The Beast is a Phenomenal Roller Coaster

@@DefunctCoasters Legendary is a good word. So many people talk such crap on this classic. Its not simply vintage like the stuff at Kennywood... The Beast is legendary and aged like a fine wine.

I took my family and was there on the 4th & 5th. This is my home park. The Beast was also the coaster that made me an enthusiast. I was 7 years old when my dad took my hand, looked at my mom, in Hanna-Barbera land and said…..I’m sick of this we are going to the big rides. I was so scared standing in line. But after that first drop, I was in love. The Beast and I are the same age…….5-9-79=45. I finally got to ride Orion. I watched the whole thing be built on the live cam and Orion blew me away. I loved it. I also back in the day rode Son of Beast…….with and without loop. I loved it. I thot it was a great coaster. I loved the first big drop, I loved the speed and the intensity of it. Where I’m from, West Virginia, we have one Amusement Park named. Camden Park. Back in 87, we got Screamin Demon from Kings Island. It was renamed Thunderbolt Express. An old Arrow shuttle launch looper. We used to marathon that thing for hours and hours. I lived in West Palm Beach back in 2004 and used to go and marathon the Hurricane at Dania Beach in Ft Lauderdale too. That was a great woodie. I also rode the original Gwazi too. Both tracks. I’ve never yet got to experience an RMC tho. That is what I am hoping Kings Island gets next. We need an RMC. 🤞🏼
KI needs to stay open really late at night once a month. Every coaster at night is great. Even the “bottom” ranked coasters are good at night. Don’t sleep on The Bat, Racer, and Adventure Express at night. Orion, Mystic, and Diamondback are top tier night rides. And of course, the legendary Beast night ride.

I dont get the hype for beast...I rode it yesterday and its hands down the worst coaster ive ever been on...its rough bumpy almost no airtime..Its just a rickety,rough long ride through the forest..I tried to be open minded,i really did but its horrible
It has a good layout and history, but yea I agree. They need to RMC it at this point
