I usually add a hardening agent after dividing the fondant into portions from each part and when it is ready to be formed. I don't need a lot, usually a pinch is enough. Please pay attention to the consistency of the fondant when mixing, try to keep it playable and easy to shape. I hope this answer your question. ☺️
