Great videos always look forward to new releases. Changing the wheel - shouldn't the jack be placed under axial and the caravan always attached to the car for sterbilaty ? You should get yourself on national TV would be great for caravaners and there's a lot of us. Keep up the good work. Regards. Barry. C.
Shouldn't need to be attached to the car, yes if using a smaller jack then there are 2 points to jack from, the safest are the brackets that attach to the chassis, kojack and Alko Jack's.
Cheers Mark, thanks for your continued coverage on top tips, do the window suppliers deliberately put the protective film on to look like the window has shattered ?, 👍👍.
Both swift and coachman handbooks state the chassis member should never be used as a jacking point. The axle tube mounting plate is where the caravan should be jacked up
Thanks Philip if using a bottle jack this may be correct as the chassis rail can't spread the load and the force is in a small area. Where a trolley jack has a large plate to spread the load. Alko and kojack supply jacking brackets that fit onto the chassis rail which spread the load if not using a larger trolley jack.
Hi I am after a right front window for a lunar clubman 2004 if you know where I can get one also front roof hatch, any help would be great appreciated thanks
Good tip about jacking caravan up, trouble I have is when putting the Alko wheel lock on and positioning the wheel, you have to release the handbrake, even when chocked up, van can easily pivot, I haven’t got room to hook upto car either to stop this, have you any ideas. Would it be possible to show a video on how to fit the lock when jacking up. Many Thanks, Michael
A lot of caravans do and if not you can buy some from kojack or Alko and these are the safest Jack's to use as a 3 ton trolley jack isn't really practical to carry around lol
Hi Mark, as mentioned you can heat them and push back in, or get a bit of replacement window infill strip from ebay, cut the one fitted and bridge the gap with some new. It will never shrink again then. 👍
Get rid of that Basecamp it's an eyesore. Waits for reaction. 😊. Luv your vids. Keep it up
I'm trying 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Mark, another great video. Looking forward to some more of your tips.
Thanks Terry 👍

Kojack brackets bolt so chassis side and do not touch bottom flange.
I might be the first of many to say this, but it is always best to do opposites when you torque the wheel bolts!
Great point 👍

Think you may have to go down axle stands route.
@@LordD4rthVader thanks for your suggestion, will look into that.
Isn't there no jacking point mounting brackets on the chassis.

Hi we have Bailey Sancerre s7 and one of front window rubber surround has raised is ther a tip to get it back in please
Use a heat gun or hair drier to heat it up. It will stretch and be more pliable when warm/hot, and can be re-inserted into the window rubber.

❤😊
Hi mark caravan should never be jacked on chassis flange.
Thanks Ronald, as you mention the jacking brackets are better.
Not according to the Alko site nor the Bailey handbook.
Do you buy caravans?
We do, we are only travelling about an hour from Wv6 7ez though. Send us an email to Thecaravanplace@aol.com and we can get back with a price.
