- Played on Very Hard difficulty. Also includes Sho fight.
Gaia's the main boss in Battle Arena Toshinden 1, and he sure is unwieldy to use at first; his attacks are really slow and leave him open for attacks, but they do have a large hitbox. Also I wouldn't recommend jumping because he descents veeeeery slowly from air. In contrast, his dodges are really fast.
But once you get used to him, he is a total powerhouse; his fireballs will do lot of damage. And his "charge towards enemy and hit with energy force" attack will hurt a lot, if you combo it from Weak Slash. Also he has i-frames during the charging part, so you can stop anyone from their track. And of course his desperation attack absolutely wrecks his opponents and can be used to punish overaggressive enemies.

Battle Arena Toshinden Series needs to have Characters Introduced our way like 24 in The 1st 14 in The 2ed 18 in The 3rd & 4 in The 4th followed by 16 in The 5th 10 in The 6th 12 in The 7th 6 in The 8th 8 in The 9th & 12 in The 10th 132 than Stages first only Appearances 766
He's got a voice changer on the mask.
He was one of THE best fighting game villains as far as his design and movelist
I love how Gaia's armor comes with a voice synthesizer.
I remember getting totally amped as a kid when I discovered I could play as Gaia. It was my first experience getting to “play as the boss” in basically any game.
Do you remember how to play as him? I’m having trouble entering the code?
@@silobandnj3967 As the words are flying in at the main title screen, press down down/left left square (basically a leftwards Hadouken). The little "select option" square should change color and you should hear a "select" noise when you have entered the code correctly. At the character select screen, highlight Enji, hold up, and press any button. The code is fairly difficult to enter. It would normally take me a few tries.

@@friendlywarrior9033 Yes, but he doesn't have a single portrait. I guess having just red canvas makes him more mysterious, so it's fine
I think this was the thing back then for unlockable characters, a la Akuma SF Turbo 2.
