  • Dual Energy CT Systems enable material specific imaging rather than traditional Hounsfield Units.
    There are several CT scanner designs for achieving dual energy CT.
    These include:
    Fast kVp Switching
    Deep Learning kVp Switching
    Split Filter Systems
    Dual Source CT
    Dual Layer CT
    Rotate-Rotate CT
    We introduce the different CT system designs and compare them systematically.

    Great talk. Thanks. What is the difference between monoenergetic virtual DECT VS Iodine map DECT?

      Monoenergetic image has contrast more similar to traditional CT but without beam hardening. Iodine maps have water signal suppressed so will just highlight iodine uptake. Since bone is in both iodine and water images you will see that in both
