I was born in Baytown in 1951. Lived there until 1963 until we moved to Houston and now I’m in Nashville , Tn.
We actually lived in Cedar Bayou. My grandfather worked for Humble which is now Exxon for 40 years and retired in 1955.

Baytown is my hometown. I am homesick and stumbled on this video and it REALLLY made me miss home. I am currently living in South Dakota and am missing the coast.
    thanks for the video.

Lived in Baytown most of my life. Actually live only a half a mile from where you drove through. Texas Avenue is the old downtown of the 70's. The new downtown area is Garth Rd. Garth is packed with retail, restaurants, and numerous shopping places. Baytown itself is mostly retail work. Yes alot of people work in the refineries around here since there are so many. Overall baytown is pretty big and continues to grow.

Thanks for the Comment X TINE! I enjoy my trips to Baytown when I pass through on the way to Gorda to fish and surf
