It's our 3rd year while we do not celebrate Christmas. Its hard, especially with little children. Family thinks we lose our minds. But that ok :) we choose this path because Our Father open our eyes.
Statistically, the effects of Christmas are worse than any other day. The number of trees cut down, the amount of natural resources dedicated to fake trees and decorations, the number of life ending depression sufferers, the amount of debt accumulated, and the list goes on... It disrupts and destroys...
WAS GOOD, GOOD TO HAVE THE QUESTION REPEATED SO WE REMEMBER WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. WE SOMETIMES HAVE SMALL INTERUPTIONS AND MAY LOOSE THE POINT TO BE MADE. DO NOT CARE WHO READS QUESTIONS.
On the topic of Jer. 10, I believe that the pagan ritual is out of Norse practices, perhaps Germanic, I forget. I believe it corresponds with the yule origins... But my memory sux rilly turble
They both are not scripture. Yeshua was only at the temple at Hanukkah to let them know he is the light of the world again he was showing the pharisees how they were defilling the temple
How can you make that statement that He was only there to let them know He is the light of the world? Curious as I take it as the fact He went knowing it would be recorded shows His approval of the event recorded in the books of Maccabees
@benjaminclutter1006 it is not Torah it is not moedim. Do not add to or take away. If you are going to teach this you might as well be teaching Christmas. Torah is the testimony of Yeshua he didn't add to it and neither should we.
You can work out that Jesus would have been born sometime mid to late September (probably during Feast of Tabernacles) because he was 6 months younger than John the Baptist and we can work out when he was born from scripture. Hence it's more likely Jesus was conceived (not born) in Dec. Plus, shepherds would not have been out at night nor a census called in winter. On another note, "Santa Baby" has to be the worst "Christmas" song ever!

Good for you Sunflower. Follow Jesus not the world.

@reflectionsinthebible3579 I think I need more time to think about it.

This all true!!!!
Please....no robots. It's bad enough we have to deal with them every time we make an important phone call. Bank, Dr, utilities, etc. etc.
We can hear you now!

Many churches celebrate Christmas knowing that it is pagan in origin.
Sadly
They even put up christmas trees in their church buildings.
This is why I have had a hard time finding a church.. due to Christmas decorations all around the church
Where does it say in the Bible to give presents like the World does?
Circumcision wasn’t much for any Jews not just Hellenists. They just used that to their advantage.

John the Baptist born six month earlier than Messiah would indicate a fall birth.
@ 3:15...??!! I have to go lay back down now

He was giving full meaning to it.

Why not trim your mustache? It’s just kindof distracting not to see your lips for some reason.
Yuck that computer voice is gross.
