Yes, you finally did it. Thank you Alex.
In case you get it wrong: the claim 'Indonesia is the most beautiful land in the Universe' at the beginning of the video, I guess was added for marketing purposes only. We all believe that every places are equally beautiful.
    Most people were asking:
What are those headpieces she wore?
Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member and normally made of gold and silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a normal diamond. It has to be something with a magical power.
Meanwhile, headpieces for the usual people are made of clothes.
Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat.
Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born.
Nowadays, everyone can wear any kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions.
    What are they singing?
This video showcases 9 traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group existed in Indonesia. The main song is Padamu Negeri - One of our national anthems. As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that.
What is that traditional musical instrument he's playing?
That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations.
Who did the speech and what is it about?
It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno.
    Are those places real?
The buildings and nature scenery were all real but yes, CGI effects applied to make the video looks more cinematic.
Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Toraja (Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Jogjakarta), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Of course they're not floating in real except Pura Ulun Danu which situated on the lake.
What is the Symbol that awaken the dragon?
It is called Surya Majapahit or known as Dewata Nawa Sanga - The 9 Gods that protect the universe from 9 different dimension compass wise.
    What are those creatures?
The creatures you see at the end of the video are GARUDA and a Dragon known as Antaboga from the mythology of the ancient Majapahit kingdom . Antaboga is believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension. That's why you will find it featured in many of our traditional carvings, crafts, and even in our architectural designs. Meanwhile, Garuda is the main symbol of our country (You can't really showcase it for commercial purposes because It's protected by law). Garuda itself is a huge gigantic bird that can only be found in Indonesia. And is believed by the Hindu as the main vehicle of God Vishnu.
    Where they shot this video?
    1. GWK - Garuda Wishnu Kencana in Bali which known as one of the biggest statues in the world.
    2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud
    3. Taman Nusa, Bali
    4. Ubud Valley
    5. Baleurang, Ubud.
Note: Trust me, there are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia (Nusantara) and I guess, historian refused to dig deeper into it because they wanted us the be classified as a third class country. 'A 3rd class country that shared a lot of things in common including traditional language with many of the far far away lands like Hawaii, Fiji, Kiwi, and even Madagascar.
By the way, thank you for the awesome reaction. It means a lot for all of us in Indonesia.

Indonesia has lots of ethnic.. Every ethnic has different traditional houses, traditional clothes, headpieces, languages, songs, dances, and instruments.. That makes indonesia "rich wonderland".. 😍
This video kinda mix few of those ethnic..
Btw, the lady who carried baby is singing with "Sinden" Technic.. Its like traditional "seriosa" From central java indonesia.. It needs special singing technic.. That's why they have different singer on that part..
The "band" part is mix with declaration of indonesia independence day.. It was declared by our first president Sukarno at 17 August 1945..

  • @gheethacute
    @gheethacute 3 ปีที่แล้ว +52

The scene where the singer wore blue traditional outfit is baliness traditional outfit, since you love dita SN, this is one ethnicity in her blood, the scene where a woman sang while carried a baby with a technic called nyinden is another ethnicity that run in dita's blood too( if im not mistaken), called javaness and the language is also one of the traditional language she speak.
    - why there is a dragon, it was a replacement of our country symbol called Garuda Indonesia ( condor) , because it is protected by the law, it can't be used casually. This symbol carried Indonesia ideology and also carried the slogan of indonesia, if translated ( the slogan )despite the differences it will always united as one. Unity in diversity. So because garuda cant be used, alffy used one of the myth symbol which is the dragon called antaboga, myth from one the biggest kingdom in nusantara ( now Indonesia) called majapahit. If you see 9 symbol before the dragon awaken and also on its forehead, its 9 symbol of majapahit called surya majapahit. But alffy still wanted to give garuda form here, with added wings. Since antaboga is the gurdian of the underworld, he tried to combined both, so it become the guardian of underworld and upperworld, the guardian of Indonesia.
    - simply put, tho it was cgi, all of the building you saw in that floating island was some of traditional houses, some of worship place, the jelly fish, the blue light was also represent Indonesia.
    - indonesia has 300 group of ethnicity, around 1340 tribes, 718 (2020) traditional language, around 17.000 island. To simplified, there are 5 biggest islands with 34 provinces. So everytime the singer change her outfit, it means she sang the traditional song from a certain provinces and etnicity. The outfit and the song is from the same provinces/ethnicity.
    - the drummer change the vibe of the song i think to put more intensity while the declaration of indonesian independence played than followed by one of the patriotic song.
    - so i think is trending in Indonesia not only because the work itself is breathtaking, but also the deep meaning since the beggining until the end.
I hope this will explain a bit about the MV for a better understanding. A bit long and forgive me if the english is out of place. Hope you understand and thank you for the reaction.

Gladly copy pasting my comment for another reaction video since you really are curious 😊
So i wanna share what i know, maybe this could help too.
So Alffy Rev is an Indonesian musician, i used to follow him on IG way back when he used to show us his launch pad mixing skills at the beginning of his career. He make Short videos showcasing street lifes or nature in Indonesia too sometimes. As he grew his TH-cam Channel you can tell that he also love to explore nature with his crew/friends and showcasing his awesome cinematography skills too. So by now, we know he is a musician and a cinematographer who portrays nature but also modern culture of Indonesia. I can’t remember Since when, but every year on Indonesia’s Independence day, he (and his crew) will post a music video, covering local traditional song (folksongs), or national songs, or the mix of two, portraying a strong nationality soul/pride. It became like a thing now, so his viewers would expect this kinda video every year on our independence day. It’s like it became their big project each year. I really respect his unique yet familiar taste. I guessed Alffy just colaborate with different people and groups in this video, like he used to. The Singer is an Indonesian Idol contestant named Novia Bachmid, from North Sulawesi. The drumer, bassist, Sinden Singer, violinist, and Cellist is on the video description. Alffy rev did the electric guitar hisself as you can tell. Not sure about the choir, but he mentioned the talents in the description, not sure if it was an acting talent or the real singers of the choir part.
it is Clear that the Mv has a CGI concept and It was actually a well CGI concepted MV. So to some extent the things in the video is true, but as you can tell some are not, but are there to represent symbolism or to support the wonderland concept.
The first song before the naration was a national song “Bagimu Negri” then after the naration is the beginning of the traditional song/folksong medley from various local culture in Indonesia with different local languages. The clothes are traditional clothes, including the headpieces, but some might be a modernized version of it, especially the ones wore by the singer, but i wouldn't say it was too much modified from the original version. Each costumes were able to point out the key element of the traditional clothes from various culture in Indonesia. The houses were also traditional local shaped houses that you will still find throughout Indonesia. I think some properties like the Wood piece with paint resembling a monster is too sterotypical, but i think they’ve done a pretty good research of the cultural aspect for the whole video nevertheless. All together this part showcased how diverse local ethnics in Indonesia alone are. But newer comer ethnic, especially Chinese, is also recognized in Indonesia as part of the ethnics that construct Indonesia’s society. Not only they have a decent amount of population in Indonesia, but their contribution in Indonesia’s indpendence are also recognized by Indonesians, not to mention that they own their Indonesian’s nationality so well. I just think I need to state this. And of course not all of Indonesia’s ethnics are shown in this video, but I think it still shows us a good representation of our ethnic diversity. The traditional instruments that I know is used here was gamelan (you can clearly hear it like a sound of metal hitting) and sape (the wood one that is played similar to a guitar) and I’m probably there are more that I’m not aware of or familiar with. At the end of this part, I'm not sure what song it is, but it was sung in Javanese language using the a unique tradisional technique called "Sinden". I'm not really good at Javanese, especially the polite version of the language, but from what I understand, the mother is putting the baby to sleep and praying that her beautiful baby one day would become a good man for the nation. It's a really good closing for the ethnic medley segment, before getting to the other part of this video. Please beware that even if I’m Indonesian, i still dont know every detail of Indonesian culture as well, Lol. It is veeeery diverse i need to tell you. Hehe.
Starting with the electric guitar Solo, at first I thought it was a rendition of “Indonesia Pusaka” a national song, but turns out it's not, lol, still beautiful tho. Then when the drum starts hitting, the proclamation narration, declaring our nation's independence, was played. It was a familiar recording all Indonesian will recognize easily, but a meaningful one, read by our very first president Ir. Soekarno Hatta. One of the greatest man in Indonesia’s History, respected and loved by the people. Then it’s the part where Indonesian youth sang the whole “Bagimu Negri” national song, because we always consider Indonesian’s youth are the most valuable generation that holds Indonesia’s future. The Choice of song was also perfect, it contains some pledge from Indonesian people for the nation. So when it is sung by the youth, it has some kinda message there. And then Alffy finish off the music with EDM mixed gamelan which he uses alot in this type of music he makes. But the one he made for this video is pretty sick i gotta say. Absolutely gives a spectacular ending for the MV.
I Wanna add that by the law, we are not allowed to modify our national anthem “Indonesia Raya” so people are carefull with it. Some musician actually tried modifying it, although creative and beautifull, it still sparks controversy in the end, some are even taken down. But you know with TH-cam and sosial media, it might be reuploaded as well, one way or another, Lol. But for other national songs, the rules are more relaxed, that’s why we can find covers of other National songs besides “Indonesia Raya” more easily.
This is pretty much as many as I knew. As I have mention before, i still lack the Knowledge in many area, so please correct me/add anything if you feel the need to. The video description actually mentioned many information about the video, but probably there are just some context that may only be understood if u speak Indonesian. Glad that many Indonesians fella leaves comment to inform many details about the video. Thanks for the reaction Video, glad you Enjoyed Wonderland Indonesia video too as much as we Indonesians do😊

Why is the creature in the final scene not "Garuda"? Why Dragon?
The mythological creature in the last scene of "Wonderland Indonesia" is a manifestation of Antaboga (Ontobugo) and Garuda.
In ancient Javanese wayang, Antaboga is the king of snakes who guards the bowels of the earth. Ruler of the "underworld".
The figure of Antaboga or Naga is inherent in Javanese and Balinese culture. usually found in gamelan carvings, gates and gates as a symbol of "guardian".
Physically Antaboga is more like a dragon, but we develop it by combining the gallant Garuda with its wings. As a symbol of the guardian of the world above and below.
And on the forehead there is the symbol "Surya Majapahit" which means Dewata Nawa Sanga. Nine guardian gods in every direction of the compass.
Why not Garuda with its Pancasila? Garuda Pancasila is a symbol of the state which is certainly sensitive if it is imagined anciently. Because the symbol of the country is protected by law.
That's what Alffy Rev explained in the Wonderland Indonesia Video, by the way, thank you for watching Wonderland Indonesia Video❤️🇮🇩

So when the band played, with the drums and electric guitar, they played the recording of Indonesia's independence declaration read by our first president, Ir. Soekarno Hatta. This recording is easily recognized by Indonesians, yet it's really meaningful. Soekarno Hatta was one of the greatest man in Indonesia's History, and is really loved and well respected by our people. Fyi, this video is posted in our 76th independence day. Each year on the independence day of Indonesia, Alffy Rev put up a these kind of MV that he and his team produced, to celebrate the day with his viewers. This year's video was indeed epic.

That symbol on dragon head is "Surya Majapahit" (Lighter or sun of Majapahit) from Majapahit Kingdom (1201 -1500) in Nusantara (Indonesia right now).
That floating islands mean the 17.000+ islands in Indonesia seperated by the sea (big archipelago).
And combination between traditional, patriotic, and modern music genres.
The voice on the rock guitar is the text of the proclamation read by the first Presidents of Indonesia, Sir. Soekarno and Sir. Hatta. it is a historical memory for the nation

A little explanation from me about Indonesia.
Sabang to Merauke, Miangas to Rote Island. It has 17,504 islands, like a bridge, which connects, unites and binds diversity. Because diversity is a blessing that must strengthen unity, not the other way around. 718 recorded languages, 1 unifying language of the Indonesian nation, 300 ethnic groups, 1340 ethnic groups from east to west. 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩☺️🙏BHINEKA TUNGGAL IKA WHICH MEANS, DIFFERENT BUT STILL ONE. TORANG SAMUA BASUDARA. which means, We are all brothers. ☺️🙏 terimakasih ☺️

He is Mr. Soekarno, The first president of Indonesia. He read the proclamation text for the Independence of Indonesia and the last song after the speech is one of Indonesia's mandatory song.
