How many miles before u done piston and rings? Thinkin about getting one of these as they seem to be a good all round bike commutig and light of roading
Hi. Hard to say as I bought it second hand so don't know how well it was looked after before I had it. I could tell the valves needed adjusted so took it to bits and decided to replace the rings and cam chain whilst I was in there (they were OK but I thought I may as well since I was in there anyway). That was at about 10k miles indicated on the clock. What a difference afterwards, it completely changed the feel of the bike and the power delivery was excellent. Bit of a beast offroad (heavy when you get stuck in the mud and have to pull it out!), but it will serve you well and service intervals are muuuccchhh wider than the likes of the WR's, CR's etc. Few quirks with the bike, same as all CCMs, so have a good read up about them, but once sorted its great. Better than the DRZ (I've owned both). Hope this helps!
