In today's video, I discuss my issues with car culture as an outsider and what I think about the whole situation going on with car meets and local meets. I give my thoughts on why I've stopped attending these events and how I feel about cars as a whole in 2023! I'm not entirely sure I went about saying all of my points the best way, but I tried to be as reasonable and fair as possible and of course will problem offend some anyways just due to the nature of how large the car scene is.

Alot of people at meets are just there to look cool and follow the trend .
In a couple of years time most will loose interest in cars, a true car guy will be into them regardless of what anyone else is doing and its not something you grow out of unless you were in it for the fad

I found an 89 EF hatch for $500 that’s been sitting for 5 years. “Running before parked” deal. Is it worth it?
As much as the car is absolutely worth it, Im not a mechanic and anything ive done has just been in my garage or driveway. I dont fix cars too often, i just drive them, so I cant say from experience what kind of troubles youll have to overcome. In the maintenance ive done to my car, it has been insanely easy (like replacing spark plugs, oil, distributor, and small stuff like that). But if it's not a manual then probably not, MT and AT cars have an entirely different feel and an AT wouldnt be worth the headaches at least in my opinion. If it has the MPFI already installed then id say yes but keep in mind these cars are 30 years old and there could be a lot wrong. The DPFI are far less desirable and way more temperamental
@@maxbriscoegarage it’s bone stock as far as I know and a manual. I had a 91 DX hatch years ago and it was a blast to drive and I’ve regretted selling it since the moment I got rid of it. It’s going into the garage as a project if and when I get it, it’s a 9 hour round trip to snag. I know when these old gems pop up they sell immediately. Makes them hard to find. I miss driving a car that in essence pure and primitive.

i installed the hooks so whenever i drive around town i can just unhook it and put it under the seat if i dont feel like using it
@@maxbriscoegarage ah thats actually cool love the content I actually use to have a 90's crx si love older hondas I agree with you about the whole car meet thing it's really boring the car scene is definitely not like it use to be and it sucks being short having to drive that close I'm only 5'8
@@joelvjy94 I actually quite like sitting very close to the wheel. I'm 5'7 and this position gives me great control on the wheel and pedals but its all preference! My brother likes to sit very far back
