Around here a triaxle normally has 3 fixed axles. Most run tandoms with 2 tags as well. But we got winter where limits are removed so more you can load the more they do.

This 235 sounds perfect normal and healthy to me, this is exactly how they should sound and how they sounded back in the 80’s and 90’s when they were new. Much more modern Cats are obviously quieter and quicker. In 1993 I operated a 235C it had plenty of power and sounded great.

We are allowed 50,600 lbs on a tandem and 69,950 on a tri axle. A quad axle buys you no more load so we don't use them.

Love the old 200 series. Pretty slow compared to a 336 though!
That thing has got something wrong with it, its losing power the rpm's are to low, a healthy 235C is fast and aggressive. now you know
