    It seems like he’s used to fighting much more impatient people by how passive he is. I imagine his strategy is to frustrate and bait out a bad hits trying to get a quick KO so he can dodge and counterattack. He would’ve been more effective against you if he was less passive but that passivity probably works against a lot of people.

  • @Caniacforever
    @Caniacforever 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2481

    this fighter was used to people losing their composure when they start missing and that making them more aggressive. he needs you to rush to make those counters. you taking 1 or 2 and then going back to distance gave him trouble. the body shots gave him real trouble too. once you got the feel for which directions he favored to move his body, you knew where he was leaving his head. great fights.

    I decided to make Nicolino Locche as a CAF so thought I'd look up how effective head movement is via this video. You took him apart so quickly but I can't help think what if he was more aggressive with his ground game with it. Slipping into a takedown gets decent points if you are a point-fighter (as long as you put some work in to keep them there for at least a short time). Something I noticed was his tendency to slip into your power hand was a sign of his muscle memory with the controller being biased. It was putting him in all kinds of danger and he relied on his double slip to rear to escape any potential damage and get a shot in. I think the fact he was trying to showcase his slipping here also wasn't showing his other fight intelligence. Especially as Cruz's style is more suited to hands down, outside distance with regular direction changes so you can slip in and out. He was pocketing here to show more of his slip skills I think. Still, I like that he put the effort in to focus it where a lot of people don't.

Like body teep, side kick, spinning side, oblique kicks. No way in hell you could just use jab. Remember that I’m not really the one taking like .5 percent damage, the jab would hurt irl, but on the game? I’ve come to realise trying erratic head movements all the time will usually lead you into trouble if your opponent deals you a hook/elbow/kick to the head and more time a knock out because if you lean in - it’s lights out sunshine

  • @nicksalvatore5717
    @nicksalvatore5717 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    Can’t just slip without ever countering, also you gotta set up the head movement! Martial expected it so he pressure very intelligently. It would work very well against aggressive opponents He’s just overcommitting to head movement and it costed him greatly here

      Yeah you cant just GO INTO it like I'm gonna Focus on head movement Without even seeing what the other person is gonna do. You gotta fight the Person IN FRONT OF YOU. He was just doing what hes used 2 and couldn't Adapt 2 what was Happening. That's what the difference is in mid tier to high tier players.

      And after watching the fights, his problem is that he doesn't fight back. He literally just sits back and hopes to gets you with counters, which only works against dummies that yam combos without thinking but against martial and really good players it won't work.

      People that fight like this make it way too easy to chop the legs and brutalize their body, combine the damage from that and the stamina they waste trying to be “elusive” and you’ve got an opponent completely gassed out by the end of R2.

    The problem with his style is It's just a noob slayer, put him against a smart player like Martial and he'll get exposed real quick, very evident in this video, he was wasting his stamina for nothing with those head movements, Martial strikes the body or legs when he's busy moving his head all over the place, additionally what I'm seeing with fighters with great head movement, is they don't move their head that much, they move their head when they need to.

    • @BruceWayne-fj9bm

Every now again I’d go for the body which would ultimately stun the body as they leaned in a direction that maximized my damage. Once you compose yourself and read the fighter you have the advantage.
