The most valuable point for me to remember is that the scales represent key signatures. As I remember them, it will be easier for me to read and play the key signatures. Thank you!
Wow - a lot of stuff in here. I can't believe I was *never* taught like this when I first started. (Anyway, now I've met up with your instruction, so all's well that ends well (as my grandma often would say!)
I'm starting to learn a simple version of "Where do I begin" which is the theme from the movie Love Story, in A Minor. It has F sharp. But being a relative minor of C Major, it is marked with no Flats/Sharps. Wonder why....
Hi Raja, great question! So in your piece, the key signature is A minor but an f sharp appears in the music? That’s what is called an accidental - a flat or sharp that doesn’t belong to the key signature that adds colour to the piece, often adding a beautiful or interesting effect. Hope this helps to explain it! 😊

That's so kind, thank you! I'm happy to help. 😊
I never saw that sharps, FCGDAEB simply written backwards, create the flats, BEADGCF. Crazy how learning works. TTS TTTS, genius!🎹 Thank you!!!
It’s great, isn’t it? 😄
Merci for this. I'll probably be coming back since I'm just starting to learn the staff.
very clear and helpful.
Thank you for this very good explanation 👏
You're welcome, Colette!
