I only realised she'd passed away when I started watching your current vlog where you mention about the funeral parlour and I couldn't believe it. In the short time I've been watching your vlogs, you came across as a wonderful caring daughter and carer who always put her mum's needs first :( and she will take that with her. I hope that you're doing ok. I'm so glad your mom was with you. I lost my dad a few years ago. I know what you mean about that "perfect moment" because I was able to tell him things too.. I'm the youngest of 7 and was the only one in the room (I love him so much, I wasn't afraid to leave him). I saw him take his last breaths and there was a Dr right outside. I ran to him and said "did my dad pass?" He said "no, but he's right about to". I begged him to run and get my family. It was a perfect scenario for the situation because he was surrounded by his entire family when he passed. Everyone in the room said they felt a love that could never be back explained.. All sibling rivalry, ego, negative, etc dropped.. That physical ending was something that helped me. I miss him every day.. Terribly. You should be so proud of yourself for being there for your mom! You showed true love & love NEVER DIES.. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Watching this made me cry..I can tell you have a beautiful heart. Dear Andri, I have followed your journey with your mum and living with dementia. I just saw the video of you announcing her death. I am so sorry for your loss. It very much highlights your journey and my mum. My mum didn’t have dementia but she had a lot of health issues. I took over as her health care giver and it was the best give I could offer her. Our parents look after us all our lives so my belief is it’s or duty to look after them in later years. Without going into a major rant I just wanted to say I feel for you. The loss is unbearable. I was with my mum when she passed. She too was asleep the final two days but she opened her eyes and whispered my name and I knew she was going. We had a priest also come give last rites prayers a few hours before. The kicker in all of this is my sister and I lost both our parents 3 months apart. I was with mum when she passed and my sister was with my dad when he went. That is my most cherished gift that each of us with one parent when they left this world. It’s. Even three years and I’m still not over it. I miss them with every fiver. I just wanted to tell you I know the pain of losing a parent. You are in my prayers. Lisa
Good morning Lisa, I’m so sorry for your loss and thank you so much for sharing this with me it’s heartwarming to know someone knows how I feel . The loss almost feels unbearable at times but it’s true that time is a great healer . I will always miss my parents but like you the fact I was with my mum in her final hours and able to care for her brings me some comfort although I still question why she had to suffer with dementia. My dad had my beside him whilst he was unwell and also when he passed, my mum and dad lived in Cyprus at the time but I did my very best to go over as often as I could which quite often meant leaving my family to fend for themselves which they managed to do perfectly. Aww Andri, I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. Even though you think you're prepared you never are. When they told me Mum didn't have long I got in bed with her for our last cuddle too. Both my Mum and Granny opened their eyes to say goodbye just before they went so I know exactly what you mean. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful yet heartbreaking moment. Your love for your Mum shone through in your videos and she'd have felt that no matter what. Just as she'd have been when you were little and playing up she'll have told you off and felt bad about it, she'll have known. Dementia is an evil disease and seems to take the strongest. I am very sorry for your loss Andri. I feel your pain that is why I cried when you cried. I just recently lost my Mum as well ( today was her 40th Day ). My Mum passed away in the USA last month and we also took long to bury her because we had to transport her body to the Philippines. I know what you are going through right now. It is really hard to lose a Mother. I am still in so much pain too, it is like I lost a leg. I still cannot accept that she is already gone. What hurts a lot too is that I was not with her when she passed away. You were fortunate to have been with her and to have told her how much you loved her. May God comfort you and give You strength.

I hope that you're doing ok. I'm so glad your mom was with you. I lost my dad a few years ago. I know what you mean about that "perfect moment" because I was able to tell him things too.. I'm the youngest of 7 and was the only one in the room (I love him so much, I wasn't afraid to leave him). I saw him take his last breaths and there was a Dr right outside. I ran to him and said "did my dad pass?" He said "no, but he's right about to". I begged him to run and get my family. It was a perfect scenario for the situation because he was surrounded by his entire family when he passed. Everyone in the room said they felt a love that could never be back explained.. All sibling rivalry, ego, negative, etc dropped.. That physical ending was something that helped me. I miss him every day.. Terribly. You should be so proud of yourself for being there for your mom! You showed true love & love NEVER DIES.. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Watching this made me cry..I can tell you have a beautiful heart. You are one of the lucky ones, that you had this many years with your Mom. That is a blessing God gave you and you have to be happy for those moments you had, which lots of us didn't have. Your Mom was an amazing mother and she is in heaven now. You are a beautiful person inside and out and it's obvious your mother raised you very well. I have followed your journey with your mum and living with dementia. I just saw the video of you announcing her death. I am so sorry for your loss. It very much highlights your journey and my mum. My mum didn’t have dementia but she had a lot of health issues. I took over as her health care giver and it was the best give I could offer her. Our parents look after us all our lives so my belief is it’s or duty to look after them in later years. Without going into a major rant I just wanted to say I feel for you. The loss is unbearable. I was with my mum when she passed. She too was asleep the final two days but she opened her eyes and whispered my name and I knew she was going. We had a priest also come give last rites prayers a few hours before. The kicker in all of this is my sister and I lost both our parents 3 months apart. I was with mum when she passed and my sister was with my dad when he went. That is my most cherished gift that each of us with one parent when they left this world. It’s. Even three years and I’m still not over it. I miss them with every fiver. I just wanted to tell you I know the pain of losing a parent. You are in my prayers. Lisa
Good morning Lisa, I’m so sorry for your loss and thank you so much for sharing this with me it’s heartwarming to know someone knows how I feel . The loss almost feels unbearable at times but it’s true that time is a great healer . I will always miss my parents but like you the fact I was with my mum in her final hours and able to care for her brings me some comfort although I still question why she had to suffer with dementia. My dad had my beside him whilst he was unwell and also when he passed, my mum and dad lived in Cyprus at the time but I did my very best to go over as often as I could which quite often meant leaving my family to fend for themselves which they managed to do perfectly.

Both my Mum and Granny opened their eyes to say goodbye just before they went so I know exactly what you mean.

Your love for your Mum shone through in your videos and she'd have felt that no matter what. Just as she'd have been when you were little and playing up she'll have told you off and felt bad about it, she'll have known.
Dementia is an evil disease and seems to take the strongest. It took my Granny and it's taking my Auntie.

I am very sorry for your loss Andri. I feel your pain that is why I cried when you cried. I just recently lost my Mum as well ( today was her 40th Day ). My Mum passed away in the USA last month and we also took long to bury her because we had to transport her body to the Philippines. I know what you are going through right now. It is really hard to lose a Mother. I am still in so much pain too, it is like I lost a leg. I still cannot accept that she is already gone. What hurts a lot too is that I was not with her when she passed away. You were fortunate to have been with her and to have told her how much you loved her.
May God comfort you and give You strength.
