I had Sopra No2. They have some common traits. Hard to say what I would choose really. My front end is totally different now then I had with the Sopras. Both are great speakers.
@@audiolife5038 ok thanks, I see that you have owned a lot of speakers. I currently use the JBL 4367 (also with JL subs). I have thought about adding a pair of borresen X6 (not replacing the 4367, just rotating in and out). I see you had the JBL 4349 at one point too. Was the JBL sound not for you?
What amp do you connect to X3? I have 03 in 2nd hand condition and sounds dull , lack of clarity and slow. Many amps have tried, except from its own brand, Axiis, but without great result 😢
I used ICE-power 2000AS class D first.. Usually amazing amps, but did not work too well with the X3. Now I use an old Simaudio Moon W5 poweramp and they sound amazing! Be aware that these speakers require A LOT of burn-in time! 500 hrs to sound their best. After 150 they really start to open up! I left them with a burn in disc running with full spectrum noise everyday for weeks while I was at work. Made a huge difference!
They are surgical instruments with crazy detail retrieval! But no harsness or grain. Insane soundstaging and 3D capabilities. They do need some distance to the rear wall though to sound their best. Superb bass output from those small drivers. Very fast, clean and punchy.
@@audiolife5038 I remember talking to you I have the x3's and told you I was getting the audions, I finally got them in black and they are a great synergy with the x3's. The black audions would look dope in your system :O)
@@audiolife5038 One more thing give a listen to Roger Waters live "the lockdown sessions" comfortably numb track, my o my :O) These covid lockdown sessions are so good as they are the live sessions without the crowd noise. Eric Clapton has a live lockdown album also, really good.

wowzers... even tho its not a "good" recording mic you can tell it sounds cleaaaaaan and crisp. still sounds amazing on headphones

The Simaudio sounds like bad class D, too. Clean and punchy but decay is truncated and b lacks soul. Basically sounds cheap.

You should just use a $1k Hypex and be done with it. No difference.
