UPDATE FOR v1.5! For Infectors in Reforged, target generators instead, after destroying exterior turrets. There are no longer turrets on the interior protecting the core.

That’s an old ship that I no longer use. It’s called the Ayamara, and not setup for Legacy combat in the current versions of Empyrion. I’d recommend taking a look at my Soul Crusher or Soul Syphon. Both are designed to handle Legacy.
I have published this ship since this video, and IMO, is a better option. Spawns at 2.1M CPU and can be upgraded to 100+ turrets. This will be my go-to in all future play throughs. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2505006228
I think this ship was all heavy, but heavy is not needed. I’m currently using my Soul Crusher combat CV, which has no heavy weapons. If you play online, plasma isn’t that great due to latency issues, unfortunately. It misses a lot. Best to swap them for either EMP missiles, Cruise Missiles, or Beam Laser Turrets. Those all seem to be quite effective against shields while also having a higher hit rate due to tracking.
@@mov4do I watched these in vanilla long ago and they were helpful. I'm now in RE2 using a modified Ono as RE2 makes substitutions when spawned such as ion thrusters which are under powered for large heavy ships. I replaced them all with anti-matter thrusters and good to go. RE2 has a special laser that comes in three varieties (infrared, ultraviolet and Gamma) the gamma version disposes of shields very quickly and does no explosive damage but killing shields at 28,000/ minute is awesome.
Hey Movado, the way those Legacy ships behave are completely different now, they are much more powerful, but with less range. Can you upgrade those videos with new strategies?
I have a 6 episode series called Legacy Kill Academy that is the current version. I also have a video on the 1.7 version of these ships and what’s changed. Those cover all the changes of the new versions.
Besides the Legacy faction bubble, Black Hole & N type systems have a chance of having a Legacy Infected Asteroid Field, which will spawn a one or two. There are other system types as well, I just don’t know them all.
I certainly can publish it, but I’d need to remove the disruptor cannons, and the bastion shield. Basically, I just added as many heat seeking rockets as I could find spots, and upgraded all the turrets to heavy. I’m not home right now, but I’ll post it later and share the link.
