You'll need it up a bit higher to direct sparge. The lifted grain basket increases the height. I've had one for a while, good bit of kit. Only con is it defaults to 100c so if the power dips off it ramps up to 100c.
did you know that you can upgrade these and turn them into a brewzilla? you can buy the malt pipe, the wire thing on the top where the malt pipe sits on, plus the false bottom etc, all you need is a mash pump which you have sitting beside it, hook it up to the tap and put a hose to the top with a clamp to recirculate, the only difference is the main Brewzilla board which you can set the timing, but if you have a mobile phone you can do it on there, I have one and am about to buy the malt pipe etc so I can mash in mine, all the parts to upgrade cost $150
Very interesting! I love your brew shed! So much nicer than my Garage. Was going to have a shed in the back garden, just a small one for the mower etc. Might put a big one in and make it my brew cave instead!!! Can you use that digiboil as a brew kettle, Pierre?
Do it, It's a great way to distance yourself. As for the Digiboil, yes you can it has a temperature controller on it. Doing a brew in a bag (BIAB) is fun and very inexpensive. I am going to do a video on BIAB in the next few months. Fortunately I am still working so I don't have great deal of time on my hands, Yet! Cheers
@@SimpleHomeBrew I look forward to seeing the video!!! I'm thinking about potentially getting a new boiler as my electric run has 2 x 2.4kg kettle elements powered by 2 separate plugs. I looked online for the 65l pot and it is very reasonable on ali express. I think it was £107 which is cheap! Is the 35l pot actually 35 litres? My first kettle was a brupaks 30l kettle and it was really only 28l
I sure can, I bought it from Dj city Dandenong. These guy's seemed to be the best price. It's called a Rode Wireless Go.. Heres the link. djcity.com.au/product/rode-wireless-go-compact-wireless-microphone-system/
Just replacing my HLT tank and looking at the 35L Digiboil and the Grainfather 40L sparge heater I can not find any review on the GF 40L comparison. When you turn the Digiboil on does it remember the last setting from a previous brew day? Like 75C or does it go to default 100c from power on? Just nice to turn it on and at 75c default every time. The GF 40L sparge is analogue dial so you could leave on 75c default but the Digiboil has 200w more power, what to buy? Cant find the weight on the GF 40L sparge? Digiboil is 8kg
I don't know much about the grainfather 40 litre system but I can tell you I am very happy with the digiboil as it does remember the last setting. The only thing I can suggest is when you finish brew make shure it's dry as I have found the stainless is not as great and can develop staining in the seams.
@@SimpleHomeBrew Thank you, was trying to get more information about the new revised 35L Digiboil. Some of the video reviews are from the first generation Digiboil and some people said the controller didn't remember your last setting like 75c. That's helpful thank you. From what I seen the revised edition Digiboil looks like they put some insolation between the elements and controller and bigger ventilation holes on the bottom and extra handle on the side and remember the last temperature setting👌. Have recently upgraded to the Grainfather G40 and planning on getting the Kegland Digiboil 35L revised edition for a HLT tank👌🍺🍺🍺.
Hi, just found your channel and already subscribed! A question, ¿how fast does it heat water at lower temperatures, for example from 35C to 45C, then to 55 and so on?(attempting to preheat water for restings and then send it to my igloo mash tun) Greetings from México
Thanks for subbing! I will do a little test and see what does. Our power supply is 240v so it may not be a great guide for you as I believe you have 110v, is that correct?
Great video. Sub'd :) I just got one of these Digiboils 35L and am looking to get started. Are there any "tutorials" or demos of a full brew out there specific to this unit? If not, you should make one!
Thanks Anthony. I am planning a brew in a bag video using the digiboil in the near future. I don't know if there isca video covering that method. Cheers Pierre

You know I hadn't thought of that, it is so funny how these little things slip your mind. Thank you.
I'm really impressed with your setup, very nice.
Thank, I really love having it.
Always good to get new gear cheers.
Yes, Now I need to find time to use it.😀
I love your videos and thanks for the price
Thanks Peter, I am glad you took the time.

Love it. I am thinking on doing that for the last half of the year. Thanks for the heads up.

That will make life a bit safer. Pierre, what microphone are you using? sounds very clear, can you pass some info. Cheers

Need help with Digiboil can't get the heat right to distill water or moonshine
What kind of distiller are using?
