Hi, I chose the 1.7x lens and I'm about to buy it, because it's a one of a kind lens and I was specifically looking for around 43mm focal length to have less distorted photos. Now as I chose this lens I must choose an Iphone for the lens, I already have Iphone 11, but I'm curious how this lens will perform on Iphone 13 14, or 15, will it have a bit of chromatic aberration due to large sensor size? And if I hate chromatic aberration should I stick to Iphone 11 as it has 1/2.55 sensor and 26mm fov which is narrower than 24mm? And you will be my hero if you have pictures examples with 1.7x on Iphone 11/12/13/14/15/16 And does this lens mess with Iphone camera app by throwing off the focus or doing something weird? Is using Beastgrip APP a must?
Is there a section or some information on how to use your App? trying to video sporting events wit the new 1.7x lens on an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it does not zoom to the outfield locations during photos or video. I am wondering how to use your app to get the settings correct. I am just an armature that films softball events for a hobby and wanted a zoom lens to get the outfield from behind home plate. Action shots, photos and also video. I use this video to send to families so they can use it for college coaches and for their memories. If you have any step by step instructions on how to use the app it would be appreciated to see how I can use this lens that I purchased to work for me during our season that starts next week. Thank you.
nice! you guys should take one of the newer 1inch main sensor and big aperture phones, like xiaomi 14 ultra (there is a global version) and test the telephoto lens with beastgrip pro. To see if the lens is enough to give a good image or not.
Great release, Beastgrip quality. But shooting portrait at 40 mm with the main sensor is too short about the faces perspectives. A 100 or 120 mm equivalent lens only for the portraits could extend the possibilities. The Kenko .75 stay a great lens for mojo run 'gun. Idk if this 1.7 could be the main lens, but it could help in some situation.
I am a woodworker and usually take very close up shots while I do my work for IG post on reels, will this be the better option for vertical shooting? Also does your team have a Vertical shooting option for the cage and mounts/handles?
We will be releasing a new handle with l-bracket for Beastcages, so it will have mounting options for vertical shooting plus option to mount handle for vertical handheld shots, please stay tuned
We wanted to let you know that using a standard 62mm Lens hood may result in vignetting and we recommend trying an alternative solution to ensure the best possible image quality. @@beastgripTV thanks for the reply. I just tested it out and found a tad vignetting using a Tulip hood. I also I just purchased the upgrade kit on the Beastgrip pro and your new Tele lens. I must say the lens is absolutely remarkable! Unfortunately the Beastgrip Pro is not compatible with my gimbal. Seems there's too much weight on the left side of phone due to lens. So I went ahead and purchased the Beastcage. REALLY hoping it'll work with my gimbal, I've invested over $500 worth of Beastgrip 😆.
It has a 62mm filter mount, so 62mm filters or larger filters with step-up rings. We will have 62-58mm step-down rings available soon to accommodate our own 58mm filters; however, it may cause some mechanical vignetting at 1x cameras (depending on the device) and may require a small amount of in-camera zoom.
Super excited to have one. IQ is so much better than other brands such as Moment and Sandmarc. Wonder how the IQ would be on tele (3x). It looks very good on this video.
Hi, i brought telephoto lens when I enter hardware I’m Beastgrip app, what do you recommend on 1.33 or 1.55? I do not see 1.77 in hardware. Any suggestions?

I don't think you get the idea. When you put that 1.7x lens on both wide and telephoto camera, you're getting the equivalent of 40mm and 130mm focal length. Plus, being a tele lens, you get shallower depth of field, which is great for portrait photography/videography.
I do hope Beastgrip can bring back the 3x zoom lens. I still miss it a lot!

We haven't had a chance to test the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, but our 1.7x tele lens was specifically designed to be compatible with large smartphone sensors.
I bought this but the depth of field produces almost no bokeh at low ISO and 24fps. Gotta keep playing with it to find the sweet spot.

@@Deckardrick007Mount the rig upside down. So the lense is on the bottom and to the left. Should fix balance.

Hi. Telephoto lens doesn’t need any correction like anamorphic lenses, for this reason there is no option for it under hardware.
