Thank you for making this video. I was just in Target and found out there was a BG “Make it Matte” formula. Previously I used the BG sunscreen moisturizer. I currently live in LA and since moving here my skin broke out tremendously and left very noticeable dark spots. A friend of mine recommended that I use sunscreen for my face DAILY so I purchased the BG moisturizer. It worked wonders on my skin and fit perfectly in my skincare routine. Since LA has a very dry climate I decided to repurchase the BG moisturizer instead of the matte formula. For those wondering whether the product protects against the sun, I’m no scientist but before using the BG sunscreen moisturizer the sun was causing my skin to break out excessively and cause hyperpigmentation. Over the year that I’ve been using the product my breakouts have stopped and my hyperpigmentation has noticeably faded! Thanks for sharing this video. :)
Am in Santa Barbara and having so much dry spells on my skin. The weather is too harsh for my black skin and am struggling to get products for my skin. Pls help me with your skin care routine and products. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. I was looking up on good sunscreen that really work for my skin type, and this video popped up. My skin is stressing me out in this dry Californian weather.
I tried the Make It Matte formula of the BGS. It’s not remotely close to a matte finish and it caused me to breakout really bad. Coconut 🥥 oil is best for the skin on your body not face. If they come out with a truly matte oil free formula I would definitely try.
I loved the original make it matte formula, the one that originally came in the pump bottle. I dont like the new formula bc it feels like jelly or honey on my skin. my hair sticks to it and it feels so thick and just sits there 😩
What not on me I’ve only try the sunscreen moisturizer and that thing make me glow and make my skin look smooth. My skin look smooth throughout my whole face it’s don’t just sit there it’s spread nicely
My skin GLOWS with it, but I wish it were a little more matte, bc I looks a little too shiny at the end of the day and I’d look like a greaseball if I were to reapply it throughout the day

It appears for us in Caribbean where sunshine all year no one can help make perfect products best is use oil control sheets to dab throughout the day. I feel you I live in Barbados abbd by time you step through die within half hour dabbing and I have combination skin with oily tzone
@@vivmadmaxx66 Exactly so. Those dab sheets are not even an option to be honest. I feel like they'd be a waste of cash in these times because the amount I'd have to use in a day. Plus they're quite expensive here. These masks aren't helping either.
i'm confused how you formulate a matte sunscreen and 2 of the first 3 ingredients (which make up most of the ingredients) are oils, shea butter and coconut oil that are highly comodgenic also...i hope there's more sunscreens just for darker skin formulated, i would love to support them but I couldn't even use this sunscreen on my body.
bro i got the make it matte this week and the cap already broke. they just updated the packaging so ive been online looking to see what people are saying about the updated packaging and looks like it’s breaking for everyone. the formula is great but the packaging needs work
Yeah, the one I bought broke the same day. So I emailed them and let them know and I was sent a new one. It was open for too long and I refuse to use it or lose my money.
Thank you for this …I have been using this since it first came out because it has moisturizing properties I normally have dry skin and i have been experiencing a change in my skin once I started using the regular BGSS ….my pores are starting to show …..not a good look … I’m about to try super goop too…
Regular sunscreen: it leaves me really shiny but I’m past menopause and need the moisture. I don’t need any other moisturizers when I use this. Kids: it’s cheaper but leaves a cast. Not a problem if I wear makeup over it. Make it Matte: guess I was lucky; had it in my purse with no cap issues. It’s much less shiny than the regular and feels good on the skin.
I bought two of the Make it Matte formulas; thinking I’d finally found a sunscreen for my oily skin. I’m sorry, but I REALLY hate it. It’s SO GREASY on my face. Definitely NOT matte - at all. Every time I’ve used it, it makes my makeup slide off. It just doesn’t agree with my skin. And the texture is weird. I’ve determined that I need a water-based gel sunscreen so I use now the Biorè UV. Perfect for oily-skin girls like me!
After reading comments I'm not sure this product really for skin of color, do more research, all people of color need a real person who is doing it for us, lord it's about the money. Take it off the market, and it's too costly. Ijs
@@titifran9599 allergic reaction. Didn’t know I was allergic to anything. Went and tried it and it burned my face. Red patches and then turned to hyperpigmentation. Always patch test before using products. I am still trying to heal my skin barrier because of it.
