This is filmed so creatively! I can’t not watch! How clever to pull us in with the sassiness of the cook! My 85 year old father LOVES creamed corn and hardly anyone else does but these recipes look like they have the potential to change our minds.
True creamed corn is cutting the corn halfway of the kernels on the raw ear of corn. Then scrape the rest of the kernels of milking the corn of its milk. Then canning it without water, just salt. It takes a lot more corn to cream it than using the whole kernals.
Just as a skilled mechanic relies on their tools to perform tasks efficiently, a chef benefits from using reliable and efficient kitchen tools to create delicious dishes. Bon appétit! 🍳👨🍳
When I was a kid, my Dad got paid twice a month, so there were three to four three-weekend paychecks per year; that's when Mom would make corn fritters. Easy, cheap and nutritious.
@@kathrynkabara9861 I still don’t get it. You pick up the ear of corn and the ‘cream’ is gonna run down your face and everything else. What a mess! Do you really eat it when it is in the soupy cream?
You can put corn into cheese scones. I used to do that when I was 15 I used to do Canning of my homemade beats apples because we had apple sauce from our applpatrice. We had a garden and I used to bake homemade bread at the age Of fifteen I would raise the bread on top of the stove. At fifteen I knew how to sew my own clothing. Dad made me learn how to make homemade stews and soups at that age. I loved our well water and I loved our organic garden. Man. What a life
What delish recipes!! No way to choose the best. They were both amazing. I really enjoy the way he cooks so nonchalantly and makes it look all kinds of fun. Thanks💜🤗🙏
Watching this has made my mouth water! Corn is one of the versatile vegetables that can be done in so many ways. I never had corn fritters, yet I think this would go great with cookout meals!
A lot of people who aren't buying canned corn do like the same general method to make mashed fava bean and potato latkes, a very nutritious option. Cook and coarse mince the fava beans, I use Sweet Lorane, and stir beans into the grated raw potato and egg. I use even purple potatoes and a little grated onion :)
I'd reserve a couple Tbsp of corn and add after creaming. Still needs a bit of body. My favorite hack is mixing a large can of creamed and a small can of sweet corn. sweet creamyness of the creamed, but still with body.
First time I've seen this video very good . Wish i had a pen & paper to write down how much stuff i would need for the dishes . They are good thanks for sharing & loved the music with it
Excellent genius! Nobody is wasting time just to watch and try to copy every trick and tip. Only wish if you could do them a little bit slower, if you would. Thank you for sharing. You must be people person. Bless your heart.
I can't believe I forgot how to do corn fritters, we use to have them for breakfast and put pancake syrup on them. Going to have to make them. Amazon, car hop trays.
Nice video, and the music was definitely a plus! The recipes and instructions are quite simple, and the dishes look amazing - IF YOU'RE A CORN LOVER. The meal as a whole is a little bit too corny for me, but I could try the dishes individually. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
When I was little my grandma would make corn pancakes and potato pancakes w the mashed potatoes & corn leftover from dinner the night before! Mmmm miss those.
I don’t know about that soupy stuff and fried corn on the Cobb but I remember my mother making corn fritters seventy years ago only she would sprinkle sugar on them when she took them out of the frying pan . They were good . Once in a great while I still do it .
Those corn fritters had my mouth watering and it's after midnight here! It all looked delicious but I'm left wondering how one eats a bowl of soup with a half an ear of corn laying in it?
I had an ex who loved canned corn this hurts that’s probably why I haven’t had canned corn in years. I can still hear her voice sayin “ can of corn” god it was so cute 😔
I learned a very similar recipe from a Hatian brother back in the early 80's !!!!! It's delicious with ketchup! Oh , and melted cheese is the last ingredient !

I have to cut the kernels off the cob and THEN scrap the cob with the knife to get all of the corn including the corn heart. Then I could eat this with a few more changes, no butter (olive oil) or salt (Mrs. Dash) or milk (plant-based milk). I will try this. Otherwise, subscribed and liked.
I grew up on corn fritters my mom had to learn how to make them when we were young cuz we were very very poor it's not exactly anything new but it's nice to know that people still eat them

Absolute truth ... after seeing this video I didn't buy corn, I already had it at home ... and I didn't make creamed corn, corn fritters or toasted corn on the cob ... the video made me hungry enough, that I cooked some corn for dinner.
What’s with the half-ear of corn in the soup? Some sort of garnish? Also, any chance of including imperial volume measurements as well as the included metric weights? It would be most appreciated.

The other is kind of a slimmed down version of how cakes because, he for one didn’t use a heavy corn bread mix and he didn’t put creamed corn in his!
I remember, blending corn as in the first recipe.
It simply tasted just like corn meal. Was disappointed.
