The lower bid thing was taken because it gave ad revenue share in addition to the 1.5 million. The long term value to that was calculated and it to be more valuable to all parties getting pay outs than the flat higher bid.
I got a parking ticket from an automated system from a state and city I've never visited. In the incident report they send a picture along with info like the make and model and license plate number. The make and model and color were pulled from DMV records for my car, but did not match the photo. The license plate number in the photo was also wrong, with 3 characters being different from mine. (Clearly a transcription error) Filed a dispute and it was cleared months later, but it's clear nobody checks these things by hand.
It was pretty close to exactly 12 years that I spent from my late teens to my early thirties to get healthcare to get the long term inhalers I needed for my severe asthma. So yeah… checks out.
I got hantavirus once, when I was living in a mouse-infested apartment building. I was laid out for 11 days. The only thing that's got me that bad since was my reaction to the Covid shot.
Sora is 5 seconds unless you're paying $200/m for Pro (Then it's 20 seconds). Also NOT available everywhere, they haven't launched in UK and EU, which should be a story but apparently isn't?
Your analysis of the sale of the Alex Jones assets is incorrect. The Onion's bid was less for that section of the business but was larger overall as they were willing to take all of the assets rather than cherry pick.
I always thought that the 6 emotions theory was: Of all the emotion we have, these 6 are universally recognizable, like pattern recognition. The others vary too much from person to person. Not that we only have these 6.
Even Ekman decided there were more than 6 basic emotions, after he came up with his original 6. Google appears to be stuck about 60 years in the past...
My personal belief is if a police officer cannot arrange use of a lavatory with police escort, _even if_ it would inconvenience other people using using the bathroom for fifteen minutes, that should be considered a failing of safety for persons in police custody. I am aware, people might try to escape _but_ with a cop at the stalls, and a cop outside the bathroom, there's no way anyone avoids "Healthcare" if they try to run. Just keep the body cams on when it happens. _Edit:_ In states where public restrooms are a thing. No reason why an officer couldn't reserve a stall, or request armed personnel to make way when only a single officer is in their cruiser. And I affirm yet again, _keep the camera rolling._ Cops do themselves no good cutting those out.
She's not filled with regret, she likes what she's doing. She's sad she wasn't able to fulfill the 5 minute time per customer she was offering. She is making updates to the process to fix that.
The reason the dogs are defendants is probably because they were seized through asset forfeiture. In those cases the title of the case is always XXXX (governmental body) vs YYYY ($112,000.53 or blue 1963 corvette stingray etc.)

Whelp, I've been dealing with serious illness completely untreated for like a decade now because I can't afford healthcare thanks to UHC giving me the runaround back when I still had insurance. So, now I'm broke and don't know what's making my life hell. "Heathcare" them all at this point...
Re Infowars They took less money because there was a provision that the relevant parties would still get better reimbursement, there's some relatively complex scheme there which was explained by legal eagle in his video on the topic
I don't know if I'd call Mariah Carey's song Iconic, as anyone that works retail knows, its literal hell, with how much that song is played. The playtimes for it, are likely due to retailers playing it constantly in a Christmas playlist.
Havnt casinos had a type of software or AI to detect genuine surprise in winners? Sure it measured retinas and facial features, when would that cross into AI territory? I think theyve had it for ages...
Wendell, if I might suggest, please take the better route, for dealing with your challenges. As a single member of this community, I suggest more may also rather see you happy and smiling, telling us about whatever cool tech. If not happy, perhaps just a little happier. If cheese is a WMD for you, skip the cheese. As a (somewhat, small 'l') libertarian, do what you like, but I suspect you will feel better in the long run if you limit and temper the bad inputs.
I seriously doubt the drone can do 300 mph for 7 hours. I would think that if it can actually operate for 7 hours it would have to be hovering or moving very little during that time. It takes an enormous amount of energy to move anything at 300 mph in the atmosphere, there's no way that can be done for 7 hours with current batteries.
18:05 LegalEagle had a good episode about the InfoWars auction they uploaded 11/22/2024. The Onion's deal included cash for Texas plaintiffs who wouldn't get paid as much if the other deal was taken. The first civil case was a Texas civil case where one pair of Sandy Hook parents were awarded $49mil in damages, the second case is the $1.4bil damages awarded in Connecticut, so the Onion's bid was willing to give a bigger proportion of the 97%/3% split that the plaintiffs would have been entitled to under the two damages awards to the Texas plaintiffs (remember, this separate case about the bankruptcy is happening in Texas, so it works out better "for Texas" if more money went to the plaintiffs in the Texas case). About $650,000 would have gone to fees for the auction and such, so they would have had to split the $1.1mil among the Texas parents and Connecticut case parents anyway.
Came here to say essentially this, the TL;DR is that the Onion's offer ensures more money actually gets to the parents than would have even with the larger total offer from the other company.
That was a good explanation of their motivation but it still subverts the entire purpose of "an auction" whereby the highest bidder is supposed to win. Not the "person or group with the bestest virtue signaling". That is not how auctions work so that is why the judge threw it out. If they want it, they should bid more. If you do not like "the system" then have at it and implement change. Do not expect to win based on "feelings" and "intentions".
@@phlogistanjones2722 not really. The purpose of the auction is to get the best value for the creditors which that deal did. What they still could do is the onion could now bid a much higher sum while having a contract from the parents stating that they would pay the onion x amount of money if the onion wins so in effect create the first deal just do it in a more complicated way.
I had to go to urgent care this morning. $120 for that, then another hundred for the meds, then another $180 monthly just to have the work sponsored health insurance. Meanwhile my coworkers in Bulgaria and Canada get free at the point of service healthcare, and spend less percent of their paycheck on it. I keep threatening to crash on one of their couches, and marry them to get citizenship. Frickin Bulgaria can figure out universal healthcare but the greatest, richest, most powerful --company-- country on the planet cannot? I call BS.
There is a noticeable difference from LLMs made for the cloud and LLMs made to run locally on a single RTX 2060 or better. Mostly how little time it takes locally but also that FP16 models kinda suck for the local models when compared to Q8 and Q5_K_M versions of the same model. Below Q4 it isn't that good and Q8 is basically FP16 compressed with simpler math to be run. From how I understand it 8-bit integers instead of 16-bit floating points.
Dark Krista on a roll this week. Healthcare 'em all!

Exactly, making it a verb lol

It was the better outcome but only because the people that took him for a billion dollars said they would reduce their claim.
It's ,more important to remove all opposition to the agenda.
Regarding the drones up to 300mph and upto 7 hours run time doesn’t mean 7 hours at 300mph.
My orange cat is a girl. She's definitely special. She taught herself fetch and its her favorite thing.
29:45 Basically. It's called "in rem" jurisdiction, and it's when a court takes jurisdiction over a thing rather than a person (as is more common).
