My name is hard to pronounce, and Timothée is so relatable in this clip. You just stop caring at some point. The “it’s whatever you like” is very accurate. 😂
@@ew5601 whooa it does sound kinda unconventional in english, but also looks like a mexican name, like Eliazar (i think its written like this). Is your name pronounced Eh-lee-ahna ? (Sorry i got really curious)
I think the French proununciation of his name is absolutely beautiful and suits him so well. I wish he'd use it or ask people to. If I ever got to talk to him, I would prefer to use that pronunciation.
An interview with food (especially free food), would be the best interview! This interview with popcorn on the side of his chair should be hands down one of his favorite interviews he's ever done. If I was famous, I would request for food to be around me all the time during interviews. It's the only way I would be able to get through them
Yes! exactly! I'm glad to know that im not the only one who thought this way❤ it's really fun to have some snacks on set..it's like the interviewers are welcoming the celebrities to their home and to their space..it's polite it's cute and the entertainment business can get you a lot of stress and anxiety so maybe they didn't even had the time to eat something before the interviews..and we all know that the hosts have the budget to make it happen so..😅😂 how it's not a regular thing.
His name just slips through the tongue no matter how we say it no matter what accent you say it in... it sounds sooo sexy ❤❤❤ the man himself is sooo smooth and sexy woah❤❤
I wish he would correct people *sigh* it’s part of who he is, the world should learn how to say his name because that’s his name! He doesn’t seem to care which is so so sad 😭
I love how humble he is about the pronunciation of his name; Not wanting to sound arrogant when telling people how to say it. As a native Swede growing up in Belgium, having become fluent in French at a very young age, - even after just recently having found out that his big sister is actress Pauline Chalamet, looking closer at their resemblance, wondering how I hadn’t figured it out earlier -, I understood by the ‘thée’ at the end of his name, how it was pronounced - ‘Timotée’, same as the pronunciation of his last name; Shalahmé (Chalamet). The way he says his own name, though, in the French accent, is just *does the-food-was-delicious hand kissing gesture 🤌🏻💋* 🙈☺️
i'm js gonna say what we're all thinking: his smile is literally SO wholesome, hes the kindest soul ive ever seen, hes gentle, hes amazing at acting, his laugh is brighter than a million suns, and hes just the most lighthearted person on the planet (in my opinion)
I’m French so everyone have a name like that and talk like that it does nothing to me but that’s still weird to hear because they’re talking English at the same time
I do that too. My last name & my first name (somehow 🤷♀️), people *alway* ask & I end up having the exact same conversation with everyone I meet. After awhile, it seems silly, tedious & even a little pretentious, to spend time on it, when I’ve long ago decided it doesn’t matter to me. So I try to move on and say as sweetly as possible “Call me whatever, I don’t care, just call me.”😁
I really sympathise with this. My name is a Normanised version of an old Saxon name and people really struggle to pronounce it or even guess how to pronounce it, but in truth, I really don’t mind. I love my name, but I really don’t want anybody to feel awkward trying to say it, so I always say this too, ‘my name is ______ but don’t worry, I don’t mind st all how you say it. I know it is a hard name and, as long as I know you mean me, I will always answer’. Some people with unusual names can be really offended when you get it wrong, but, honestly, if they never heard or read it before, how are they supposed to know how to say it!
Us french ...just don't care.... Lol.... People never call me by my actual name.... As long as it starts with a T I go with it. I actually find it amusing
The way he says his name sounds so beautiful with the French accent and the way the hosts say it sounds like an Egyptian Pharoah. 😅
so real 😭
Yeah I love his accent 😂❤
LOL Yeah, I love the way he pronounces his own name. So fucking sexy it's unreal.
