I have had my eye on that stove for awhile but have heard off because concerns with using it effectively so your Omnia stove recipes is very, very welcome!
Funny when we were at the show I saw those ovens and knew one of our podcasters used it! Now you are reminding me! We bought one and can’t wait to use it! I have to watch for your cookbook!
Awww, seeing that lil clip of Leo playing fetch in the old Class A, brought back some very fond memories! And also, seeing the dry/wet bath in that Roadtrek, for me personally, brought back sweet memories as well! Very nice video for sure 👍🏼👏🏼🖖🏼
Perhaps buy three signs. One for the back of the house and one for in the woods. One for in the Den inside the house. The swinging shower compartment is a great idea in the Class B. The shower and bathroom in Class B's usually take up a lot of space. Saw several Class B's at a local RV show in the fall last year. One of the technology challenges of electric vehicles is the charging. Looking forward to a Cummins hydrogen powered pickup someday. Heard RAM VP talk about it at a car show last year. Wonderful about the upcoming recipe e-book. The pull behind camper idea is better than having two camper vans for sure (at the end of your video)
Yes, but it would be easier to travel with two vans than a trailer...it's much more difficult going places with a trailer since you can no longer park in a standard spot. Rules out many places.
ERV2 is great and once Ford expands the range it will be awesome. While the range sucks it's a big step forward from last years prototypes. I also love that they offered test drives. From some of the other videos on it I've seen it sounds like Winnebago is trying to be as flexible as possible on which van to go for but have gone so far as to patent the solar panel configuration they plan to use on the Transit.
100 mile range is a big no, however we all know that will be increased to around 300 miles. Get the sign , sign it and auction it off to members❤ for charity..
We followed your original recommendation. We wanted to look at Newmar and Tiffin. Great that they were close to each other. After the traffic to get in, we made it to Newmar, hung out there for about an hour. Went over to a Tiffin and did the same. On the way out we looked at some Winnebago Class B’s and we were out. Place was too packed for my liking!! 😂. Still had a great time.
Definitely the french press. Daisy the dog and I were both whooped after 1 day there. 12,400 steps, about 5 miles walked. Cheers. Let me know if you goto boundary oak distillery!
Visiting one of the biggest RV shows in USA, definitely on my bucket list to go there one of these days! 😎 Looks like you both had a blast at the RV show!
The ERv2 is interesting but it would need a lot more range for my consideration... But maybe with a tow package that can take a platform with a gas generator to extend the range?
108mph range...I don't think so. Winnebago has been doing that Pivot Shower design for a couple of years, it looks like it would work well. Thanks for bringing us along. I wanted to go to Tampa so I really appreciate it. Much love to y'all from SC, Jane ❤🙏
I liked seeing all the different sizes of rvs, vans. Those two colored vans look so much better than (in my opinion) those big “swoops” on larger rvs…..
Great mix of info in this video. We went to the Hershey show last September and was surprised to find how tiring it was. The Florida show is next on our list. Thanks for all the tips!
Enjoyed your show recap. This was our first time coming to the Tampa Show and you are so right you certainly need more that one day to take it all in. We thought the innovative bathroom in the van was pretty awesome. Thank you for sharing the tips. Have a wonderful week. Mary 💕 Fred
I loved seeing the different models, but would like to see more of the gadget stuff . I am Canadian and as such, we don't get access to any of these shows here, there are a few, but nothing like the American shows. So this is great fun and appreciate you hiking around all day in the heat.
Very informative video. My only ask would be to spend more time on the Roadtrek models as Winnabego generally gets much more attention. We are saving up for the Roadtrek Zion Slumber. If you see one please let us know what you think!
Thanks so much for this video. We want to hit that show someday. My fave was the park model because we live in our fifth-wheel now, kept stationary. We travel with a truck and trailer. Loved this video!
Thats the concept for now. Winnebago said the range isn't what they need to put this into production but they're testing the platform so they're ready when the range can be extended.
The Roadtrek pivot looked pretty interesting. The bonus throwback footage was fun to see and as someone who hasn’t made an RV show yet, the tips are helpful. Since the Omnia oven was my Christmas present, I’ll look forward to Kait’s recipes.
The pivot style bathroom is nothing new. I first saw this bathroom in European camper vans about 2 years back. Also, I believe the new winnebego ekko (2022) has this pivot style bathroom.
Love watching you guys! i have watched several you tunes videos of the Tampa show, but not one video talk about pricing of the rvs , can you find discounted prices?
Looks like a great show! The EV tech is going to be super fun to watch. Did any of the vendors you were talking with speak about self-charging vehicles? Otherwise the distance ceilings will be a big problem for RV/Van lifestylers.
Do you mean self charging via solar? If so, that's not feasible right now. On a camper van you might have 1,000 watts/hr of solar (which would be HUGE) and the e-Transit, for example, has a 68,000 watt battery. Even if the solar was 100% efficient (typically they're about 25%), it would take 68 hours of direct sunlight to charge the vehicle. Now you also have the people in the van using things like lights, etc so most of the solar is going to support that and not charging the chassis battery.
@@Weretherussos Great point but I'm referring to the serpentine alternator style charging that can charge a house battery. Need the engineering to also charge chassis battery and that will be the game changer. I would love to hear what Ford engineering is discussing about this feature and what are the major barriers. (I'm sure there are huge barriers still or Tesla would also be doing it)
Free burritos??! What show was this??! 😃 we were there and we missed that part! Had a great time tho. (We just bought a lil camper van last month) love the video! New subscriber here! Thanks!
Hey Ethan...it's a Citizen similar to this one: amzn.to/3XoQkQw I've had it since 2006 and it's been great. A pin on the metal band broke so rather than replacing the pin I got the green strap you see now from Amazon.
Love this video. Question - wife and I are interested in only Class B. We are in Minnesota but want to hit this show. Is there 2 days worth of Class B rigs (particularly on the Mercedes chassis)? We’ve done a couple local shows here and been pretty disappointed - hardly a Class B at all.
Hi Rob - there are a lot of vans at the Florida show and all of the big RV shows around the country. Smaller ones are hit and miss. That said, you should go to the Adventure Van Expo in Wisconsin this year which will be the closest one to you. Here's a full list: weretherussos.com/van-life-gatherings/ Also, here's a list of the RV shows around the country: weretherussos.com/rv-shows/

Get yourself a sign WE'RE THE RUSSOS if you have a place to put it.
The pivot shower was interesting, but my favorite part was the flashback with Leo in the BayStar. Excellent vid!
Glad you enjoyed!

Like the toy hauler at the end. Cool idea.
I know, right! I'm a fan
Of course you should get the sign!
The Ekko has a similar wet/dry bath shower wall.
Great video, sorry we didn't run into you. This is the first time Tina & I attended the Tampa RV show, we had a great time.

Very nice video for sure 👍🏼👏🏼🖖🏼
Yeah we wanted to throw a clip of the little guy in the video.
enjoyed the walkthrough of Leisure Vans Wonder
I so agree. We have had an A and 5th wheel in our young years. We love our van!!!
Wow! Thank you for sharing! That looks like an amazing show!
It was!
Great video. Burger, coffee, and pivot bathroom in a van. Thx for sharing !
You bet!
👍👍👍 for the Storyteller booth. It was the best booth at Overland Expo East. Plus we got to see you guys.
You drop the soap in the Roadtrek “shower”stall forget it. No room to bend.
Unfortunately that's a problem with most wet baths I've seen. I much prefer the shower in our Storyteller that is a wrap around curtain.

Thanks for the tour of the RV show......

Missed being at the show this year. Thank you for your video covering all the bases of the show
You’re welcome! We missed seeing you and the whole family at the show.
Great to have you guys back and active!!!👍
We haven't stopped making videos but TH-cam wasn't showing people our videos...if you've missed them just go back through our library

I'm still leary on any EV due to EMFs and poor range. I'd have significant anxiety.
Still a pilot program and they've said the range isn't where they need it to be. Stay tuned for a more in-depth video.
@@Weretherussos Ford for the win!
Definitely get the sign!! 😁
Yes get one, we want one. Thanks for the ride along.
Any time!
I love seeing new camper/camping products.
We'll post a couple more in depth videos over the next couple weeks
Thanks for showering all the neat RV’s
Our pleasure!
Love to you both. Love that southern leaning Ya’all you both threw in there. Your cell phone case was perfect.
Love you too Dan! Good to know about the phone case cause if anyone would notice, it'd be you.
100 mile range is a big no, however we all know that will be increased to around 300 miles. Get the sign , sign it and auction it off to members❤ for charity..
I like the Roadtrec Willow green van for the the color inside, less wood. I like the Pivot because if the cassette toilet. Would like to mix the two.
They said they are testing the colors and guess which van sold first at the show...the one with the blue.
bring your diesel generator to recharge the eRV when it's cloudy
We enjoyed the vibe and meeting some of the RV influencers. We missed you both, maybe next time.
We were also only there Tues and Wednesday - sorry we missed y'all

Hello and thank you. I especially appreciated your Wonder FTB walk through.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Weretherussos What did you think of the layout?
The shower wall flip is a great idea. 💡 So much to see, thanks for sharing with all of us.
The Europeans were way ahead here; this feature can be found in Class B vans here for several years. Innovation is coming from the old continent .
You are so welcome Bonnie!
EKKO has one
Shame, Wingamm Oasi 540.1 vaporware.. Good to see the show is back in full swing!
So We spoke to them and the first US production model SHOULD be rolling off the line this spring. We'll see...
Yes . WOW great selection of RVs .
Biggest show in the US! You should have your parents take you one year.

I think I could live in that cargo trailer. Just add a stow away composting toilet and an outdoor solar shower.
You definitely could and I would say just shower at gyms and campgrounds, etc.
I loved the shower! Better if it was double the size. Great video! 💕
I think that's true for any RV shower!
