    If your using it for gaming or any art software go for 64bit. x84 is 32bit and the max ram you can use is 4gb. as today 2024-20-05 4gb can hardly run any apps and Microsoft edge.

    I just maintain 3 or 4 clones of my 256GB M.2 system drive on some older, slower SSDs. I usually do a clone before every major update to Window 10. If I need a 2nd drive to boot from, I boot from one of the clones. If I need to replace my System drive I just clone to clone to the M.2. But whatever works for you.

    • @roqsteady5290
      @roqsteady5290 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Making a boot disk doesn't require the files on your PC, so as long as you can access the web and have a working USB you can create one. But if your PC is too messed up to create a boot disk and you don't have friends with a PC, you can create a boot disk from a smart phone that can connect to a USB stick. You can also get windows on a pen drive although that will likely cost... Note that Windows is a standard product so you are unlikely to need a special version. After you install it you will likely need to update the device drivers for your hardware. One other thing: if you want to keep the data on the drive where you are installing windows be careful to select the option to only install windows and not wipe the entire drive at the same time.

      @thecolorenhancmentchannel432 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@candran3130 Hi! I’m a nerd when it comes to technology and I have an answer to your question. No this will not screw up your phone. You can buy something called an OTG cable that connects a usb drive or data cable thing to it. The usb drive will show on android since I used to have an android phone. I’m not sure as to how to use it on iPhone since I have one now. All you would do would be to copy the windows 10 file from your phone over to the usb and plug the usb into the computer. This should answer your question.

    I ran into an issue the other day trying to get my father's computer working. when I tried to create the drive, it would always fail at the same place (around 50%). What I ended up doing was creating an iso and then burning to a flash drive.
    Grant it, his computer was fairly old (10 years or so) which may explain why it initially failed creating the flash drive.

    But, what comes next when you put in this newly created USB Windows setup in new computer?
    What is the process for that? I never done it before and I am scared to screw it up.
    Also, what should I do with the current version I am running on this PC? Will I be able to log in to new one or I need to uninstall this one first?
