To this day I will never understand how Caucau did what he did. There ar so many clips in this video where he is scorching everyone else on the pitch and he never looks like he's going above 70% of his total pace. Insane athlete
The inside & outside stepping from the athletic fijian was tremendous the man deserves his flowers while he's with us but wow nobody could ever tackle him
He was an absolute star in Agen. By himself he put the club back on the French rugby map. Such a shame rugby wasn't his main priority. He was always back for preseason weeks (even months) late and 10-15 kilos heavier. With more focus and an healthiest lifestyle he would have been much better. Scary!!!
The best running winger ever. A very well balanced player with best centre of gravity I’ve ever seen on a rugby player on the paddock. A delight to watch and never ceases to amaze and entertain.
Fun fact - In the clip featuring Brian O'Driscoll, BOD was sick and puked up during the game before going on to score a hat trick which would have been more had it not been for CauCau
Best winger in the world 02/03, fastest rugby player in the world at that point and great power and balance. In a Blues team with Rokocoko, Howlett, and Muliaina he was the best.
Loved the game for basically all my 40 plus years. Other than Jonah, I've never seen someone so unbelievably superior to the other 29 players on the field, or anyone else in the world you'd care to name playing the game at the point in time. Simply jaw dropping athleticism.
Many legend and great wingers have come and gone, but this man here is the epitome of what a great finisher is, can score from anywhere in the field and will gas you every chance he’ll get
Imagine if he had the attitude and work ethic to go with his talent. Could have been in the conversation for greatest player ever. I hope he is doing better than he was since his retirement, I think I read somewhere that he was homeless
@@thomaskingdom7855 That is good to know, 2 houses is better than some other pros who didn't keep their cash. Plus, can't lose legendary status in rugby :D
Rupeni 2003 til 2006.... greatest finishing talent the game of rugby has ever seen... sad that it's over
Memories, thank god for youtube, we can rewatch him over and over again

The great CAUCAU!!!! This is the vid I've been waiting for! Chapeau Mr Forde
Genuinely thank you for this vid, some great rare npc clips. What a rugby genius he was
The inside & outside stepping from the athletic fijian was tremendous the man deserves his flowers while he's with us but wow nobody could ever tackle him
Such unbelievable balance with torso and speed. Will never see another Fijian like Caucau in a very very long time

Such a smooth running style, changing direction and speed effortlessly. Cullen could do that, too. It’s a rare gift.

Bro you do know Jason Robinson was playing then????????
@@ukmateus Yes and I'm English and he's one of my favourite players.

Come no where @@ukmateus
Now this is bringing back some nostalgia! What a player, I'll always remember that RWC performance against Scotland
At 4:14 when Lomu was useless....miss tackle😂😂🤣🤣🤣
He made world class athletes look absolutely pedestrian! I'm thinking particularly of his tries vs the Brumbies, and also for Fiji.
That Brumbies side had peak Gregan, Larkham, Roff etc and Caucau put them all in the blender.
Well done at putting this together, some rare footage here.
Was awesome, watching Rupeni on 1 wing, Fero on the other...
This guy proves that saying
WHEN YOU GOT IT YOU GOT IT.
He had the best centre of gravity x the step x the speed that's why u watch legendary
Together with Christian Cullen the best two players in the world. Ability to make defenders missed. It’s unreal. Godly gifted that’s for sure.
I can always remember trying to find clips of him spelling his name Repeni Thow Thow🤣 no wonder I couldn’t find anything.
That’s because “anthibg” is illegal in most countries. Affects fine motor skills and hearing.

😂🖐🏼🇫🇯🇫🇯
the most talented ball carrier the game has ever seen.
Honestly I can't understand what the fuss over DuPont is, when Caucau would take him to school and eat his lunch.
As soon as he started to earn money he spent it all on doughnuts.
nah i used to run alot of clubs in Auckland
he was drinking and partying
with young people
smoking cigarettes and dope as well
6:00 bring back this style of commentary!
Love that type of cometary silent😂

He can't be homeless. He already built houses in his village. If he is than ... that is just super odd.
He still lives in his village here in Fiji....a villager can never be homeless 😂😂😂the whole village is his house
@@Prem-kp1pq Good to know. Yea that is what I expected.
He's got 2 houses he built in his village, the only relics he saved from professional undertakings overseas.

This was a fun one 👌🏼 A blast from the past
So good that he was evasive off the field as well and made only 8 appearances for Fiji. 😁
He made tries look so effortless mate
The balance of his running 😍
No one till today has Caucau's speed, balance and skills..the lord of the Wings
Rugby genius
His prime didn't last that long but boy was he shining bright during that time.
From the village straight to the big stage in just a year..Most Gifted player
Unreal athlete
He shouldve been a star 🌟 player on Rugby 08. Robbed
Should have ended that with the final part of the Nike Ad he was in. :D
Imagine if he wasn't lazy and had really good discipline. He would have been the best winger in the world together with Jonah.
put caucau on the opposite side of JL and see whos the real lord of wings .
Unfortunately for us the bro missed just home
the streets wont forget
He just gliding on air flow state 🙌
The GOAT..!!
The fastest fat manninnthevworld. God bless Rupeni aka BIG LITTLE DOWG 💪💪💪
2nd best winger EVER
Best winger the game has seen but he never reached his full potential, too relaxed and not disciplined enough which is a pity.
🔥
Ahead of his time😅
Way ahead!
I think tuisova is better, respectfully
not even close 😂
That's ridiculous 😂
