Dude your videos and knowledge is second to none, especially with the quality and quantity of content, free content, you put out. You could easily charge serious consulting fees but having these videos out there is truly awesome. I've already set up all my metadata (that I know of, I'm still new) and I've been researching music libraries. It's still tough to tell which library to submit too and which one's are good for me, and the sample non exclusive contract language I've found can still be daunting, but hey - learn by doing. Thanks for these!!
Great analogy brother, love it. When i got accepted into my first library through a collaboration with another sync member last month, the realization came hard that the story and the journey was just only beginning. However i cherish all the tiny steps in life with music my family and all experiences so the gratitude is in absolute abundance that i can do this music thing every day, tiny step by step. Thnx for all the encouragement and insight JJ!
This is great advice man! I always say that you need to reward your effort and not so much your successes. Effort brings success, so if you focus on that, then it's basically a sure thing. Success does not bring success (or happiness). So focusing on it is kind of meaningless. It's a nice carrot and long term visioning is a wonderful thing but making tidy stems is the boring thing that gets you there.
