Operation Christmas Child - Distributing shoeboxes in Cambodia

- For some children in many poor parts of world, they have never heard of Christmas, let alone receive a Christmas present from anyone. Samaritan's Purse wants to change that through their 'Operation Christmas Child' programme.
Do you remember back to the first time you received your first present? Watch these children's faces light up as they receive their first gift in the form of a shoebox. The treasures and personal letters inside communicate that someone cares for them from the other side of the world, and give them an opportunity to experience the love of God.
This video was recorded in Cambodia in April 2014 by a team from Australia.

These videos always make me cry! It's crazy how what we might see to be quite little will in someone else's eyes be something extremely valuable💙 I'm taking part in it this year and I can't wait!!!

I can't believe that all of those kids were so happy and that one of them might have been mine, if it was I hope and pray that they liked my gift and that they are safe for their hollidays

I know this video is a few years old but I actually saw a boy with one of my boxes, the blue shiny one (covered in contact). Makes it all worthwhile ... wonder what he is doing now.

We were doing two boxes, a girls and a boys. I started watching these video's and we're doing ten..lol I didn't realize how needy these poor children around the world were till I started watching. Honestly, I think I'm having more fun than the kids will. God bless them all.
Cool - It doesn't matter how many boxes you send - but we managed to scrounge up enough unwanted toys, clothes etc to send 50 to Cambodia last week.....makes me smile watching these kids.... God bless
I was so amazed to see how people resonded by sending a pair of shoes or pairs of shoes to clothes the naked feet of our future leaders it makes me cried, but then l say thank the almighty for all thoes who contributed.

Nadia Chok well done. I do the appeal too and it makes me happy to see someone smile over my own actions. It brings me more joy than if I were to get a material thing myself. It also hits home how these people have so little and are happy with a simple little box whereas in the west, the kids want to out do each other and complain if they don't get what they want or if it's not right. Or if you don't have something that's socially accepted by your peers you are bullied for it. Utterly insane.
I miss doing this.

Glad I discovered this video, I saw one of my boxes being opened !! I pack stacks of boxes and wrap mine I distinctive contact and use to put the label across the middle, was easy to see it stand out.. Really made me happy to see the little boy with my box open it, would have been great to get a bit more of it but very happy to see. I really hope he liked his box, even though it was 4 years ago.
That little girl at the end of the video..did she have only a lg Teddy Bear in her box?? I couldn't see any other items. And, it looked like she was trying to hide what was in her box.
