Thanks for reacting to this other version of this song. I've listened to the other more reacted to version of Lara's cover of this song many times, but didn't even realize this version was out there. This version has so many added little nuances to her vocal performance that make me realize just how amazing of a vocalist Lara really is. It might must be me, but this version seems a bit slower, too, which allows her the time to incorporate those nuances into the performance. I love how purely emotional your reactions are. Keep it up, and thank you again for this.

As a musician, when Lara came living here in 91’, although there was Celine and Ginette Reno toppings the vocal scenes, she definitely blown the entire musician community by her music knowledge and masterfully angelical voice for such a young 21 years old singer. I never get tired listening to her through out her 30 plus years of her career. And the lady is pretty damn wise. She’s now a teacher and still touring. Thanks Isaiah !

Her performances can be called minimalistic. Fabian does not have backup dancers or no background fireworks. She wears a strict dress code, light makeup, and a minimum or usually no of pieces of jewelry on stage. No flashy fake fingernails. She sings whit a relaxed face even in the highest notes. Her unique strong velvety 4.1-octave voice (lyric soprano) and emotional performances is the only thing that the audience receives

I prefer the other version (the first one you reacted to) only because I liked the soundscape of the other venue/audio. I thought _she_ was groovy here, but I didn't feel her accompaniment were quite up to her grooviness. But I do enjoy hearing and seeing all versions of all her songs because she is such a master that she can improve & go with the flow of her mood, as you pointed out. Hi Isaiah! Nice to see you with some Lara which is not from the "Lara with Love" concert. She has so so many live performances to choose from. And it's wonderful to see somebody reacting to something a little different than usual. This is a great cover of this old Dolly Parton's song. And Lara is flawless as always. However, i still think that the songs which WH and MC made famous are not the best possible choices for Lara's voice. Of course she sings those perfectly, but i prefer a little different style of voice in those songs. Don't get me wrong, Lara has been (25 years) and always will be the number "Uno" for me as long as i live. And i sense that you are beginning to feel quite the same...But anyway, for this song and all the songs Whitney made famous, there is one artist that is just unbeatable. It’s not a miss. It’s how she sings. She often starts a musical phrase by singing a Lower note on a consonant like “m”. It’s something she’s been doing for a while 🙂
