New Jeans has become so big worldwide is because they've brought in a completely new style/sound to kpop. Previously, everyone was trying to out hype, out dance, and out produce each other. This meant the music was generally super powerful, lots of layers, and extremely strong/structured choreos. However, NJ said "hold on...everyone calm down...lets go back to the basics...simple is best sometimes" and they've never looked back since. All their music trends to follow this vibe as well as their choreo. If you notice closely, their choreo is quite different from other groups if you look at the details: they smile a lot at the camera when they dance (seemingly as if to include you or invite you to join them), they purposely choreograph several elements where they don't dance the same moves at all (giving a sense of freedom/carefree/loose vibes), and they dance following 90's dance structure (different in the industry). Even in their daily content or everyday lives, they come across as chill, fun, relaxed people making them feel more relatable on a personal level. They're seemingly like a breath of fresh air in the industry, and their sound is not "heavy" which gives it a catchy yet high replayability factor When they debuted, it literally shocked the world and took everyone by surprise just cause it was soooooooooo different....and I can see why. They're unconventional, yet conventional. Very interesting

OMG Their choreograpy in each song are amazing! You must watch their Dance Performance and Dance Practice in each their songs. Also, their Live Band Performance of Attention, Ditto, Hurt. It's called [It's LIVE] You must watch them before you say any negative comments about NewJeans. One more thing, all kpop idol that you have watched is not comparable to NewJeans. New Jeans came on the scene last July and changed the game.. a lot of 4 th genearation kpop music was “Noise” music which as an older kpop fan I can not stand that sound …( I’m almost 50 😊) but they came on the scene with a Y2K concept.. I love it.. I agree with a lot of your comments regarding this group..and I feel the kpop music was going in a bad direction.. IMO I think they may have changed the trajectory of kpop.. love them and I love y’all reactions 💜💜💜
