You can catch neutral easily, just a second before you come to a full stop. Works every time. The little buttons are fillers, for electrical switches for aftermarket accessories - lighting, heated gear, heated seat, etc.
Man that grey looks so sweet, also if your having an issue finding neutral, give it a little bit of revs, will help the clutch plates stop sticking and allow you to more easily find neutral
I started in 1979 with a suzuki ds 80. I loved japanese bikes. I just got to old and fat for all day riding on my cbr 600. I walked into my local harley dealer and walked out with a Sportster Super Low. I was in love with riding again. Exactly one year later walked into the harley dealer. "For a t shirt." Came out with a 2017 dyna low rider. There is no shame in your game bro. Its a different animal that takes a little getting used to. Still love japanese bikes and there are still a few I would like to own but I am a harley guy through and through now. Like a good friend told me when I got my first Harley "Its not just a bike...its a lifestyle." Thanks for the review. I found your page recently with your video about losing your job. I really enjoy your channel. Best of luck to you. Be safe...ride free.
Your voice audio is really good with the camera. No wind noise at all, which can’t be said for other Moto vloggers I watch. And you don’t talk so fast that people have a hard time comprehending what you are saying. There’s a few car channels I watch where the person mumbles and doesn’t enunciate their words very well, all while spitting out words so fast they can’t be understood at all. NOT SO with your videos, keep up the good work!
Yea it’s hard to tell in the video, but each time I was trying to find neutral, I was rocking the bike back and forth as much as I could. Granted, being 155lbs on a 842lb bike, there wasn’t much rocking achieved 😂
Yeah... rolling the bike forward and/or backwards to get into neutral is what you should have to do when you're "stuck" in 2nd gear or such due to stopping too fast. It shouldn't have to be every red light that you have to rock the bike to get in neutral.. seems like a flaw rather than anything.
Great video, bro! It was great hanging out with you at Demo Day. It honestly was a perfect day out. Finding neutral on Harleys are A LOT harder to do, but what I've learned was going for 2nd great down to neutral is usually a lot easier. Thanks for mentioning me in your video btw. 🤙🏻
I tried all STs, Street Glide for me. Perfect for a solo rider and I love the new 117 with performance cam from the factory feels. Totally different than my Breakout 117. I decided to get one and had a great deal with many uprades installed of my choice . Now i'm saving up for 135.
I've heard Harley guys say that once you have a road glide that you will never want anything else. And to give you a little context, last month I sold my 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide 107 and bought a 2022 Honda Rebel DCT.
Yup, Neutral clicks best when rolling just a little bit. Almost becomes a force of habit after so long to just neutral it when rolling up to the red light. I put the newer HD 80-140 oil in mine which helps alot, as well as shockproof trans fluid (used before). I found this channel just the other day and having grown up in Annapolis and now living in Calvert. It got me sucked in just watching you drive down the same roads I've been down a million times (oddly enough). But seriously good video/audio and entertaining talking really is A+ man! Hope to see you around brother!
I’m riding a 97 rocking that EVO engine and the best way to find neutral on a Harley is to blip the throttle then pop it up and that seems to do the trick almost every time
I have a 2003 road king with a fairing kinda looks like a street glide but I love it I got a really nice stereo on it with 3 amps and I have a couple 8 inch PA speakers inside the bags facing the rear tire bikes the love of my life but I also struggle finding neutral as well I've always noticed when I'm rolling in first to a stop light it's alot easier to find it while ur rolling but just want u to no ur killing it on ur channel I no u prob had sum anxiety when the job came to an end and u made the jump to TH-cam full time but im really digging all the vidz my man God bless
My guy, thank you!! It definitely wasn’t an easy decision going full time, but I’m LOVING it! No turning back now. Your bike sounds rad af too man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Some bikes prefer you find neutral while still rolling. Yeah, I know... Try rolling forward a foot and you'll probably find it. Those 6 button things are probably fillers for options not on that variant or for accessory stuff you can add (switches, etc). I've considering upgrading from my '07 Road King to a Road Glide, but they're pretty much north of $30k OTD these days plus I love my RK, which was 2/3rds that price in late '06 when I bought it. Floorboards are nice, but on a 400 mile day, sometimes you need to stand up to get some blood in the butt cheeks and that's almost impossible without mid controls (standard pegs) The suspension travel on Harleys is short, so they suck on bad pavement, but they have their uses and like I said, I do love my RK. But it's also not my only bike.
Its great Harley is going after the Performance Bagger market. I have a 21 RGS. I made it a Performance bagger with, Big Bear Cartridge Kit in the forks, Big Bear Twin Tube Shocks in the rear (more than I need, normal remote reservoirs are sufficient, and $1400 cheaper than the TTX30 I have), all got the bike up and increased the lean angle. Had Harley put their SE Stage IV 131ci in it, along with the SE Cam Plate and Oil Pump, Carbon Wheels. I have gone down the deep deep rabbit hole with this thing. Bank does not own it though. There is that.
Oh dude, floorboards, SO TRUE! I could stand up on the Rebel 250 (previous owner put on floorboards) just fine, but when I go to stand up on the Honda Shadow 1100 I have to try and keep my pelvis pretty close to the front, whereas the Rebel 250 I could just stand up like it's a damn dirtbike, with ease.
If you like how that bike feels you should test ride the Low Rider ST. Same engine, great fairing, lower seat, lighter weight. Obviously not as luxurious, but a great middle ground for sure. The ST just feels different enough from the LRS that it's almost a different bike.
My dad rides a Harley Davidson road glide that i ride with him on and it is the smoothest motorcycle I've ever ridden and for my age I've ridden a good bit
We have had 5 Harley Davidson bikes. None ever in shop. Have had most brands. Never any problems with any. I have Harley because it’s easier to finance. Not always a good thing. Street bob 114 is my current ride, favorite so far. I’d really just like a Honda 500s. Oh well, actually I would have a bunch if I was rich.
Hey brother, how does it feel to ride with pedal floors like that, I've wanted to try a cruiser like this to see how it feels lol. I've only owned the Duke 390 and the trident 660, so no real experience I've sat on the rebels but I'm sure its way different than this.
It’s definitely a different feel than I’m used to as well! It’s nice having that much support and room for your foot, but the downside is that I kept missing the shifter because of how much room there was. I had all this room to move my foot around, but then had to slide it all the way in to find where the shifter is. I’m sure I’d get used to it pretty quickly though! Oh and they’re obviously not as grippy as my Burly Brand pegs either, so that was an adjustment too.
there is just something about riding a HD that other brands dont give you and once you ride one . you will from this day forward have a lust for a big twin air cooled Harley lol
I prefer bike reviews from an impartial source. You’re not sponsored or a dealer so I can hear pros and cons of the bike while you ride. I checked a few reviews before buying my Low Rider S. That Road Glide ST looks pretty impressive.I’ve never been a bagger fan, but I can see some of the advantages of having one. I get sick of riding with a backpack all the time.
I like the Road Glide ST, and my low rider s is my favorite though! I have hard bags getting installed and a nice fairing to block that wind (: travels I hope coming soon
I wanted the Kawasaki Vulcan and it had floorboards. I thought I'd hate them. I love them and don't think I'll go back to pegs since you get less vibration in your feet with the floorboards. I think that Harley was great, but too expensive just to keep in the garage for potential long trips (you could buy two Rebel 1100s for the cost of that bike actually almost three.)
I know nothing about Harleys but would it be possible to put a hydraulic clutch on it to make a lighter clutch pull? I don’t understand why all the big cruisers have such heavy clutch feels. With all the tech and luxury one would think a light, easy pull clutch would be priority for comfort.
I just picked up a 22 road glide in the gunship gray! It is a sexy bike! Mine is the special though not the ST. I do like the ST's bronze enhancements. Unfortunately, my kidney wasn't quite worth enough for the ST, but the special is pretty damn sweet too.

@@LifeOfBurch Goldwings are crazy too. You wouldn't think it but they can EASILY keep up with sportsbikes and nakeds. Definitely get Nina on the passenger to if possible. She'll love that captains chair.

The ram mount does just fine, but it’s definitely a bit nerve racking knowing that there’s just 4 rubber pads keeping my phone from getting obliterated on the highway 😂 Even though I’ve never had any issues, I’m switching to QuadLock this week to see how that is! I’ve always been fascinated by their design. Seems much more secure and looks sleeker when your phone isn’t on it. Glad you’re digging the channel dude! 🤘🏻
I love the road glide but I would need legend suspension front and back. If I got one it would be pre GPS version or a rushmore road king! Those baggers are made for coast to coast traveling 😋
Yea legend suspension is pretty bad ass! I need to be rich rich though cause the $32k base price is a hard enough pill to swallow, and I can’t keep anything stock for long so I just KNOW I’d go broke modifying it! 😂😂😂
@@LifeOfBurch oh same here man. Legend shocks, Vince and hines headers with cfr pipes. Thats why id get an older one plus having no GPS you don't have to monkey with updates and infotainment screens 😂
Ooo REALLY good question! Honestly, I’d have to say the Rebel 1100. For 3 reasons- price, reliability, and it’s a better “all around” bike. You can get a Rebel 1100 for literally less than 1/3 the price of the Road Glide, it’ll be much more worry-free and cheaper to maintain over those 8 years, and it just seems to be a much better “do everything” bike, especially for the type of riding I do. It’s equally at home around town, in the twisties, and on a highway trip. The Road Glide is a far better option for longer trips, but I shutter at the thought of having to use it for my daily coffee runs, short trips downtown, etc. Again, seriously a thoughtful question! Thanks man! 🤘🏻
I keep hearing that Harley's are impossible to get into neutral, but my 2002 v rod i got a few weeks ago goes into neutral first try every time, maybe i got lucky.
I think these type of reviews " non-harley rider from another brand - rides a harley " are the MOST useful. Hearing the differences and the likes or the possible issues coming from a japanese cruiser or sports bike whatever is excellent. Having reviews from long time harley riders of new bikes is not as helpful to hear for people coming to harley from another brand. Harley owners who dont like these reviews need a check up from the neck up. They werent born with a harley between their legs.
Glad you loved it. But seeing the pricetag in american dollars, that thing ammounts to 50-60K in europe.... and that is *not* worth it for me😂 my kidney is not worth that much! Looking forward to more stuff from you buddy! 😁
Thanks!
Thank YOU!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
To find neutral on Harley’s you have to slightly release the clutch because the clutch pull is so insane. It finds neutral better

On a different subject, how is your ram mount on windy days? Also riding on the highway? Love the channel, and I think I am sticking with honda 1100.
Lmfao 🤣 I love this video lol. You’re stupid hilarious mate. Reminds me when I first got my ROADGLIDE
looking forward to a review of the sportster 975
I just got MINE! I can’t wait to break 500 miles
Congrats dude!! I’m jealous! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Awesome video brother! Keep up the great content! Definitely one of my favorite moto vloggers, stay safe fam much love 💪🏽❤️
If it was the only motorbike you were able to ride for the next 8 years; would it be that Harley Davidson or a Honda Rebel 1100?
Thanks man! 🤘🏻
🤣 I laughed my a$$ off thru the whole video! Great job with the review and the editing! 💯👏😉👍 --QM
Thanks Quasi!! I definitely had a blast with this one! Both the ride and the editing 🤘🏻
Haha funny review on USB ports. I like your review bro.
Keep up the kickass work!
Damn right down the street from me lol weird seeing my routes unexpectedly lol hit me up next time man haha
Run a good synthetic transmission fluid and give the bike a couple thousand miles to break in. It will shift like butter.
Fairing for the Rebel and you're ready to go.
How about testing a gold wing. ??
I keep hearing that Harley's are impossible to get into neutral, but my 2002 v rod i got a few weeks ago goes into neutral first try every time, maybe i got lucky.
Vrod isn’t a Harley
@@aeirsone9045 You're right, it actually makes power.
They werent born with a harley between their legs.
looks nice but i think ill prefer a 1990 gold wing
Glad you loved it. But seeing the pricetag in american dollars, that thing ammounts to 50-60K in europe.... and that is *not* worth it for me😂 my kidney is not worth that much!
Looking forward to more stuff from you buddy! 😁
Sheeeesh yea screw that! $30k is hard enough for me to get over, let alone $50-60k! Madness 😳
Don't know where you live, but in Germany it starts at 33.195 EUR
that's the dealership i took my Motorcycle course.
Loving your content :D
If you think this bike is nice, try finding an older 2004 Honda VTX 1800 to ride around.
Solid video. Commenting to help the algorithm lol let’s get it
You gonna own a Road Glide ST and a Rebel 1100?
Heavy beast 💪you always making me laugh 😅
Haha thanks bro!! 🙌🏻🤘🏻
@@LifeOfBurch excellent comedy sprinkled throughout 👏👌🤣
Great video.
Road Glides are like a Lazy Boy that flies. Beautiful machine.
Hahah 100% accurate dude!
Ill take your word for the bike. Typical harley tho 2 bazillion dollars. Congrats on the 30K+ (31.2K at the time I'm writing this)
