The missing witches deck and the Crystal Deva Cards look sublime. looking forward to seeing your reviews of the Oak Ash and Thorn and the Thistledown decks. I really love your Blythe dolls on your book shelf. looking forward to your upcomming doll video ❤❤❤❤
Hi Marty, I also have the Somnia Tarot and I don't use it as I should, I thought I would be able to get past the covered faces but no, so it's there on my bookshelf 'resting' On the other hand, I love the Rainbow Tarot, it's so fun
I think the Somnia is a vibe in itself. I have it and it was my happy medium when I didn’t like using people deck. I’d got to a point where I was fed up of samey animal decks but didn’t like people decks so it kinda hit the spot. I used to call it the horses in bedsheets deck 😅 I have people decks now because I got over that non people deck phase. The Crystal Deva Oracle and Witch Oracle look really cool. Hoping for a Marty’s Doll collection video one day 😌
Oh and Stephanie is a lovely person, I love her decks I want to get the mini Oak Ash and Thorn and the Thistledown. She was kind enough to send me a review copy of her latest deck which is out around October time the Heartwood Tarot which is equally beautiful 🥰❤️
She really is lovely Sandra and expects absolutely nothing in return. I'm reviewing them anyway. I'm going to get me the dragon one and the mini at some point 🩷🩷🩷
@@martys_musings yes she is so lovely, I met her at the Glastonbury meet up a few years ago. I have the dragon deck but just need the mini Oak Ash and Thorn and the Thistledown 🥰❤️❤️
I have the Leonora Carrington deck, I just recently did a walkthrough of it. That Dream Dust Shamanic Tarot looks amazing 🥰 I didn’t realise that Watkins have sale decks, I know they do with books, that crystal deck looks fab. The Missing a witches deck also, looks interesting 🥰❤️
What a fabulous haul! Dream Dust Shamanic looks soooo beautiful, but it's kinda pricey. I keep going back and forth re: the Somnia Tarot for all the reasons outlined above. I would love to visit London someday. BUCKET LIST! cannot wait to see the review of Three Trees creations. I have OAT and love it dearly. The other three decks are ordered. When they come, I'll do an in-depth comparison. I'm sorry you had the bad eBay experience, but we all get it eventually. Some people just don't give a sh*t. 😢 bummer.
I have Rainbow tarot . Card-stock is little bit laminated - feels more paper-ish but !!! Readings with it are very on point . Worked for me nearly like classic RWS - very clear . Guidebook is well written 💜
I love Somnia but the covered faces don’t bother me. Maybe because I don’t like “people” decks anyway? I can’t remember if it was you or Levi that showed the Inner Compass but that oracle works amazingly with Somnia for me. A good pairing sometimes helps when deciding to keep deck or not. 🤷♀️
I love London too, it's a spectacular city! I think it was Raecine at owlmoon513 who said the Somnia Tarot has an angry teenager vibe. It's extremely cool and I do love the art . . . but it does have that self-absorbed, self-isolating feel. The Dream Dust Shamanic deck looks beautiful -- not sure I'd use it because of the size. Thank you so much for sharing all the goodies.
I completely agree with you about Somnia Tarot. I am amazed by the creation story behind it. I was also very excited when it was coming out but then I saw the cards (maybe it was on Kickstarter) and I felt scared...But the art is definitely beautiful, great illustrations! And thank you for all the information you gave in the video about other decks🙏
So pleased you are enjoying the Shamanic Dream Dust and it was lovely to go to the gay chandelier cafe with you too 😂 Ps: it’s the rainbow tarot not the rainbow heart xx
Martin, you described the Somnia Tarot perfectly..claustrophobic and suffocated. Someone else here said Scared. This deck was created to do with Sleep Paralysis. For anyone who has experienced that, as I have, it is suffocating as you can’t scream or do anything to help yourself, which makes you feel as you’re slowly suffocating. Essentially..you feel paralyzed. And, the experience itself can be terrifying..at least in my case. I feel like I’m being attacked physically and mentally. I’ve read this happens when you’re on the verge of reaching an important epiphany in your life, and this attack is to prevent that from happening. I’d suggest keeping the deck and maybe go back to it later. It’s pretty powerful. 💜
Hi Lisa. I sold it a couple of weeks ago. Even though the photography is incredibly beautiful. It's really not a deck I would use. It's an amazing concept. And I have so much admiration for the creator. But I found it far too suffocating to use. I can only imagine what sleep paralysis is like. It really must be awful 😞🩷
I love the Somnia photo edition! I use it for ancestral trauma release. I have inherited family issues/ trauma , and do therapy, and I use that deck to assist that. The fact that the faces are covered is perfect, as it reflects the situation: there are ancesters I have a phot, some I have a name, some I have a birth date, some I have been told an anecdote, some I knew myself.... and mostly I have only some shards of information, or even none. As in this deck. And the covered faces leaves it open to me to insert in my mind a face from a photo or my imagination. Also the nebulous atmosphere is totally reflecting the situation, as there will be things that I'll never know, or never see clearly, and I need to accept that. The borders are necessary though, they provide a frame that is like a window. I am not in there, I'm in a safe space, and I can retreat and close the windows at any time . The covers as well as the cold atmosphere and the borders provide me with the distance that I need to be able to do it in a healthy way. I also use it to help dig through some nightmares I dreamt in the past and my newer ones. At first I was creeped out a bit, by the images. But now, I see it as scenes that are frozen in time, and covered up to not gather dust, and the initial uncomfortability has completely dissolved.
Hi Martyn, glad to see you again. Love your reviews. Have you heard about Nigredo Tarot on kickstarter? It's a really cool shadow deck. I'm all about the darkness. 😂

Lol, "horses in bedsheets" 😂 love that.
I'll call it that from now on
Ha! 😂 It's a vibe for sure. I shouldn't have got it really. I was always on the fence. But you know how it is. FOMO and all that 🤣
@@martys_musings FOMO is responsible for at least two, maybe three of my purgatory pile 😅🙈
You have Blythe dolls?! That’s so fun!
I have about 15 of them 🤣
Great video, as always 😉

I love them all Sandra apart from the Somnia. Yes, at the back by where the tarot reader sits. There's always sale items there 🩷🩷🩷🩷
@@martys_musings aaah ok I will have to remember that 🥰

Glad you had a great time in London, shame about the ebay nonsense 😢 don't know why we can't just be kind to each other.
