Colorado

Colorado road trip. we took a 1300 mile road trip to Colorado from Mississippi in may. Red Rocks has been on my bucket list for some time and I decided to spontaneously buy tickets and rent a car. in route we stopped by great sand dunes national park. highly recommend if your in the area. it can be completed in a day and id recommend a cooler month where the sand has had time to heat up and summer crowds haven't gathered. We dispersed camped right outside the park on lake Como road. plenty of space for the amount of people camping that night. we saw the Milky Way clear as day without much light pollution. from the dunes we headed to red rocks to catch a concert and the venue did not disappoint. the next day a drive to the Rocky Mountains with a quick stop at the farmers market in Boulder for lunch and a cactus. the Rocky Mountains were great and we saw plenty of wild life including a coyote, mule deer, moose, elk, and turkey. im sure there was more, a chipmunk for sure. a quick trip but filled to the brim.
