If you have a mouse with buttons on the left/right side, like the Trust GTX 115 MACCI wireless mouse (the one I have), you can use one of the side buttons to map aiming in vehicles instead of X. It can also be useful to map the other one (like I have done) to the squad menu instead of Caps Lock. It's far quicker. This is just a little suggestion though, so do whatever works best for you.
Another great episode. Concerning the freelook/left-ctrl function: you can also use that to lure out enemy AT infantry if you suspect you're being stalked. Just point your turret away like you're looking somewhere else while ctrl-looking at the spot you suspect the enemy is (make sure you're out of Panzerfaust range), the moment he comes out of cover, you quickly turn and kill him. Also, maybe an explanation of the different tank sights could be useful. The circular Jagdpanter one always confuses, and I think the Russians have some weird sights too, that don't instinctively make sense.
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, the freelook can be used to lure out AT infantry, indeed. About the sights: to be honest, the sights don't really make any sense apart from being as close to historical accuracy as possible. Since you can't actually "use" the sights, as in you can't adjust them for range like in other games, I don't feel an explanation would be that useful. Apart from that I feel like handling all different sights would go pretty deep into detail which is in my opinion beyond the scope of these series 😉
@@Slayer1976games Thanks a lot for this info; I've been desperately searching for this answer in all the wrong places... Your tutorial-series hardly leaves anything unanswered; thanks a lot for all the hard work on this masterpiece in modding. However; knowing what I know now makes it painfully clear to me that it is me who just sucks at this game; you killed all my favorite weak excuses…😅
@@palomino73 Thank you for your kind words! It has been my pleasure to make these series (it's other people who do the actual work on the mod). Don't worry too much about skill, it's something very relative: just have fun playing FH2, that's the most important thing. And if you really want to get better at something then practice makes perfect.
Thanks for this video, i really want to get back into this game (havent played it since it came out forever ago), but i have one problem....KEYBINDINGS! I always use arrow keys for movement, but i cant seem to bind it that way in FH2, is there a way to do this? Any help appreciated. Cheers
You can spot using the reticle, the thing you use for aiming. Press X and then Q, X is to bring up the reticle, and then Q to bring up the menu for spotting. And welcome to the channel!
Very informative video! Thank you. Question: Is there any way to resupply the tanks? Something akin to Project Reality, where you drive your tank back to base/depot to resupply. Genuine question, as Tank Destroyers, as you know, have very low ammo count. And when facing heavier opponents at a disadvantageous angle, the shells would bounce/ricochet without effective results.
Thanks for the kind words! For resupplying tanks on the front there are ammotrucks, which you can see in this video here th-cam.com/video/Gvprz2phFwg/w-d-xo.html I think there is also some form of resupply in the base, because I have seen tanks drive back to the base to get some but I have never done it myself, I'm usually dead before I can do so 😅
@@Slayer1976games Awesome! Thank you! I'm sure some Marder drivers like me prolly drove back to base to look for the ammo trucks too haha. I just didn't know there was one. Especially on maps like Goodwood where some vehicles won't spawn until opposition took some flags.
@@Slayer1976games thanks for that.. I discovered my problem was the joystick power slider.. is linked in FH2 but not in other bf 2 games ..to the tanks... ahhh so I put it in the middle ! ..will try to fix.. haha
Yes they are, best times are weekends 7-11 pm CET, you will be able to join 70-100 players. You can also give it a try on weekdays during those times but there will be less players, somewher e along the lines of 40-70 players. I don't know the total number of players but there are thousands who have downloaded the mod.
I'd say they are getting more popular. CMP holds campaigns too, so it can be a great thing to try and work towards being good at. Hope to see you on the battlefield (if you aren't already there).
Always the best to select ammo/weapon with 1, 2, 3 and you'll never select the wrong one if used to it.
Hehe, I learned that the hard way 😅

Sure, but I don't have such a mouse 😉
Im so impressed by the graphics in this game, so much better than i remember BF2 ever looking!
Yes, and there is still so much more in store for the future!

Hi, nice to see a veteran like you around! Just today I read on the FH2 Discord that this issue was solved, am I correct?
Great video. I have a question - how to use binoculars when we are in a tank.

what is the key press to stop the tank in the drivers position? w just rolls forward and s backwards..but no stopping ?
There is no such thing as a brake, I usually use S, tap it and the tank will slow down and stop. A different way is to quickly change seats.

In Fh2 ricochet Shell is work?or no?
I have seen shells bounce off, but I'm not sure if they maintain their damage and if so, how much.
what sistem requirements?
If your PC is from 2005 or later you should be good. The system specs are a very little bit above the system specs for Battefield 2.
No shermans were harmed in the making of this video....... XD
Eeehm... 😅
