❤ That is the first time i wish i could dance in my lifetime (45)! This music and dance catches all the love and emotion we lost in our western world. No thinking. You are hope! You are the intuition we need. ❤
That's a very kind message. Thank you! I wish it was indeed sometimes easier to connect to intuition... I guess that's what made this moment special ! I hope you get to dance sometimes. It's never too late until it's really too late.
Please don't ever take this video down! I need to be able to watch it for the rest of my life whenever I am feeling sad. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen :)
E douard I love to dance! I dance Scandinavian and Hungarian and many other styles, but there are no groups for this in Texas. Do you know of any palace in the US where I could learn this style? I know my friends would love to learn too.
Well i am from France and don't know the USA but maybe if you search for mazurka ? Either it's in Belgium, France, Poland, Italia i dcan't really tell you but what i can tell you is that if there is a basic rythm, nobody dances Mazurka in the same way... =)
Thx Matheus, the stars aligned indeed for a beautiful moment. And I am very grateful it was captured like that. Years later, it is still a very warm memory to go back to. All the best to you !
I'm reading Anna Karenina too. That's not why I'm here though. As the guy said in other comments above I think this is quite different from the Polish mazurka. Not sure about Russian though...?
Wow, this was the first ever mazurka I've seen. Amazing! I live in South Africa, so Polish folk dances are not commonplace, thanks so much for sharing. I really want to learn the mazurka now, its so beautiful.
Merci bien. Tchao .
ROMANTICO VIDEO..... HERMOSO......UNO BAILA ASÍ, CON QUIEN AMA DE VERDAD..... Y AL QUE LE GUSTA BAILAR..... LE GUSTA SER BUENO Y ES NOBLE..... CONFIABLE...... DESEABLE.....
Beautiful! Amazing! I didn't know before about Italian dances. I've watched this dance as well as a "Pizzica". Really, Italians are a nation with a deep culture! I am impressed ! I've never been in Italy. Not being an Italian, nevetheless I love your culture!
Hey Sam, thx for your comment. I think you have been proposed this video after the pizzica because they both showcase European folk dances, but not because they are both Italians ;). The mazurka and valse danced in this video are some couple dances practice a lot around Europe, as part of bal folk. I'm french, my dance partner in the video is Belgium, so is the place where we dance. So not much linked with Italy ;). But I do lover their culture too, and you should go there once in your life ;). Puglia is my favorite part ! Cheers !
wow....that is dancing is about! the start is so sweet how you both smile ;) so fantastic how you move on 3:47...so feeling how you push her and i really want to know how you lead that jump on 4:03...truly, truly awesome! i like your dancing so much....can´t stop watching all your videos especially that short part on 4:30 to 4:34...you can realy see the fun and the swing maybe we´ll see us on an event
All dancers in a mazurka clandestina dance like this... also mixing in some contact, tango, bachata, free dancing always coming back to a more traditional mazurka, it is easy you just need to listen to the music and be open to your partner :)
Sorry I answer late, but thanks a lot for your comment. Anybody developing a relationship with their body warms my heart ! Hope the dancing goes well !
Thx everyone for your comments ! Make sure to subscribe to the channel for more dance videos ! Lots are coming with the new project I am working on fr.ulule.com/en-son-pais/ . Have a great day-nce ! :p
Going by the names Kattendijk and Koen in the description, it's probably somewhere in the Dutch language area. So in the Netherlands or Flanders (northern half of Belgium).
Hey Benjamin, it is a form (very improvised in this case) of mazurka danced in the context of French bal folk. You are right. But the form has been evolving and changing a lot those last 20-30 years, so it rarely fits a clear definition ;). Thx for watching !
the author of this song is Accordzéam
the cd is Balneo
The title is "Des Hauts Débats (mazurka_valse)"
thanks Pierre to this video!!!!
9 years later! Thank you for the name. This music is wonderful

Me gusta!
Superbe....
Et connais tu le titre du morceau?
Douces fêtes
Miche Ridole Name of the beautiful tune : "Des Hauts Débats", composed by Michaël Bideault, recorded in the album Balneo by Accordzéâm
Please don't ever take this video down! I need to be able to watch it for the rest of my life whenever I am feeling sad.
It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen :)
me too
you can download it but you can do better ! you could dance for the rest of your life ^^

Just starting to learn about Bal Folk. As a Tango dancer this is my new favorite Bal Folk dance :D
Enjoy the discovery of Bal Folk ! :)
This is to me heart-achingly beautiful
Thank you Leslie ! The moment shared with Minga my dance partner was great and it is a nostalgic piece of memory for sure :) Glad you enjoyed it.
This is so beautiful! The music, the dance and the light really creates a very special atmosphere here.
Thx Matheus, the stars aligned indeed for a beautiful moment. And I am very grateful it was captured like that. Years later, it is still a very warm memory to go back to. All the best to you !

I'm reading Anna Karenina and just wanted to see what mazurka is like. It did not disappoint, wow.
Thank you very much for your comment ;)

jaco delport this is a French/Belgian mazurka, traditional Polish mazurka is very different
This is great but for seeing what a Polish mazurka looks like you might try this site: th-cam.com/video/Q2vfnA_1pjk/w-d-xo.html
Polish dance is no mazurka. It is mazurek
Complimenti all'autore di questa struggente Mazurka. Bellissima !!!
Beautiful video! Thank you for sharing! Grazie, Pierre!
Thanks for watching and commenting John ! All the best !

I love this. Wish I could be on that same dancefloor too. I don't understand why all those people at the side can stand and just watch.
It's a demonstration :) Lots of non folk people at this event that mix many type of dances. The folk bal was right after demonstration though.
Pierre Chesneau I get chill all over again evrytime I see this. You could ask me to dance anytime. ;)
J'adore!! 💖
Merci !

How so ? I am curious how it relates for you to the book of Tolstoy!?
Tango!!!!
zyz polacy nie dali europie wiele?
Corrigez-moi si je me trompe mais la façon de valser me parait être un peu particulière non ? :)
mazurka valse
which country and region?
Going by the names Kattendijk and Koen in the description, it's probably somewhere in the Dutch language area. So in the Netherlands or Flanders (northern half of Belgium).
Thank you
It's shot in Antwerp, Belgium.
this might be french mazurka in my opinion

polskie legiony przywiozły mazurke
It is very possible ! Europe is not that big and has a lot of mix cultural element. Thanks for bring the mazurka to France !
@@bloomyntimes th-cam.com/video/a1VfzgkOyS8/w-d-xo.html
Polish dance.
Ou l'inverse ! :p
It looks like tango
Ahah, so I have heard ;) I did eventually dance tango, but at the time I hadn't. I guess I had some deep interest for body torsion work ;)
merci pour la danse man - woman - mystery...solange 💥💃💞🕺🎶🪗🎵
To raczej kujawiak niż mazurek.
Thanks for the correction. I will tell them !
to polski taniec
Not quite this interpretation of it, but originally yes !
je bandes
*wink
Not that bad actually in its own genre, but it is rather funeral music, not mazurka. Desole.
No worries ! :)
magnifique !
what is the name of this song?
I just pinned a comment giving all the info about the song. So you should find it at the top of the comments !
