It was a tough time for the boys, they were also coming out of puberty and the maknaes were starting it, it was a time of change without a doubt, since they also went from following protocols and distancing to being able to interact with fans more freely, I feel that they matured a lot in that time, especially the younger ones.

This album was meant to be a summer/end of the summer album but all of the boys (except Sunoo) kept getting sick with COVID and had to delay and reschedule the album to the middle of the fall so it affected the album rollout a lot. The hate the previous comment mentioned was sort of happening but it wasn't as bad as it was during Manifesto:Day One era and it will never top that era haha. This was the era the boys became the fastest and youngest million sellers and people kinda just realized how much potential they had and they felt very intimidated and started searching for the smallest reasons to put the boys down. This album is sooo interesting to me, being a lore enthusiast. The whole concept being the dilemma of them having to choose between running away or choosing to fight, choosing mortality or immortality and so on. The whole album being themed around Greek Mythology as the album versions were Charybdis, Odysseus and Scylla. In the Intro:Whiteout they talk about "in order to get the treasure, we've either to get through a brooding monster (Scylla) or a swirling tornado (charybdis)" and like so. Them discovering that the sun doesn't burn them anymore in the MV, Ni-ki traveling through dimensions and making circles in the ground ahhh. I could talk for daaaays about their conceptualization and their lore but yeah. If you are ever interested I can make you a playlist of the album teasers and so on for each album as the vibes and the little details are sooooo cool
