    very useful video will try this method next time as tear out is generally a problem in softer woods

      Thank you for the comment. Sharp tools and a slow light cuts works most times. If the wood is really soft add a finish to the worse part and let it set, then a light cut with a freshly sharpen tool should help, this may have to be repeated for really bad areas.
