It’s so sad…and yet so many people are obsessed with the kardashians. I don’t get it. And Kylie ripping people off with her garbage makeup. The poosh stupidity with kourtney selling useless crap for lots of money, Kim’s skincare line that’s outrageously over priced, Kylie’s Baby line that charges tons but is full of baby bottles of shampoos and conditioners for babies. I think good American is probably the only business venture that isn’t total crap for them. The 818 tequila Kendall sells isn’t popular. Maybe because one bottle tastes like total shit. Skims is outrageously priced too. No wonder they are making so much money. They are robbing from average Americans. I saw recently that Kylie came out with some PR birthday kit and compared to buying just the items in the birthday set by themselves or buying the set that came with just a box extra, was an extra $117. People were paying $117 for a freaking box just cuz it was the PR box. Like what is wrong with people?

I believe everything ray j has said, kris and Kim did this to copy paris’ sex tape once they saw all of the publicity that Paris got. Every “business” they have attempted to have are from directly copying others and they have lost numerous court cases. ALL of them (they are a matter of public record). The whole family are talentless grifters. I hope ray j can someday get a court to get them to admit what they did so he can get closure and move past this along with the rest of their family.

Brandy is a little bit before my time. But in one of my film and media classes we did talk about the made for TV Cinderella film she was in because it had that big of an impact on diverse casting in film. Like people don't understand how game changing this was. At the same time finding out that she got screwed over by the Kardashians after offering Kim a job honestly a job most people would fucking kill for at the time just adds to the level of hate I have for this family. Brandy has talent she actually did something with her life yes her mom became a manager but it wasn't out of oh you're going to live out my dreams it was oh you want to do this I'm going to support you and protect you and make sure you're going to do everything to keep yourself on the right path and make sure you don't get screwed over. Pinterest that to Kris Jenner she was fine with her daughter releasing a sex tape if it meant getting her in the public eye. She was fine with her daughter going and posing for Playboy as long as it got the family some Fame. Now that's not to say that anyone who is a sex worker is a bad person no honestly most sex workers especially porn stars and cam girls actually get a level of Fame on their own merits Kim Kardashian just bangs her best friends younger brother films it and releases it and throws him under the bus. Honestly Brandy should be much more famous and no one should know who Kim Kardashian is

What's it like in America? Do they have products available in stores or all online? Are they actually popular? The marketing we see makes it seem like they have a huge fanbase in the US. It’s amazing how they lasted this long and influenced young impressionable minds in ways that have devastating effects in the long run. 😢
One time I worked at a fashion show in LA where Kim and Chloe came as guests. Before the show, they came backstage to go to the VIP lounge and literally, everyone had to stop and clear a path for them to walk through. Some dude with them yelled out “Clear the way!” And everyone had to stop what they were doing, and stay at least ten feet away to let them pass through. Mind you, this was a huge backstage area so it’s not like they couldn’t have gotten through otherwise. These people live on another planet dude.
This family was only “famous” originally for being hanger-ons (higher form of a groupie) to celebrities and the fact their father/ex-husband/mother’s ex-husband helped defend a retired professional football player-turned-bad actor-turned-cold blooded murderer (which to most of the world’s shock, he got away with). The only “hard work” that Kris and her daughters are known for is the kind they do on their back.
All of the actual hard work to keep the money coming and luxurious lifestyle going is done behind the scenes by multiple assistants, nannies, hair/makeup, stylists, trainers, nutritionists, maids, writers, cleaners, secretaries, cooks, designers, shoppers, artists, gardeners, groupies, and countless others (plus…they now have their own hanger-ons due to the accumulated wealth). If most people had what they had, were ruthless liars, had no problem exploiting others and discarding them when they were no longer beneficial, and took or withheld from others to get what they wanted, those same people would be labeled a “hard worker” too based on what Kim and her family said in their video clip.
What a bunch of fakes! Reality TV at its worst and is as scripted as it can get. I can’t believe people actually like them and watch their show. There’s no talent in that bunch once you take away the people surrounding them.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella was only on Broadway after the airing of the television specials. It actually caused a bit of a conflict when it was up for Tony nominations since technically it wasn't a new musical, but it wasn't a revival either. The special Whitney produced is the best version, in my opinion. Adding the Rodgers and Hart song "Falling in Love With Love" for Bernadette Peters was an inspired choice. "The Sweetest Sounds" is also a song only penned by Rodgers - not Hammerstein - that was added and it makes such a wonderful opening number. Unfortunately the Broadway version is not very good - slowing down tempos for just about every song and adding irrelevant subplots. However, regional and community theaters have the option to license the "enchanted edition" when staging the show, which is the closest to the Whitney/Brandy adaptation.
But in regards to the video's subject - the world knows (or should know) Kim is just a garbage human underneath all the money/makeup/extensions, but Brandy will always be a true princess to those of us who hold Cinderella and her other projects close to our hearts. 👑
I also LOVED the harmonies on DILYBYB, The Sweetest Sounds, and Ten Minutes Ago from this version. The Broadway version eliminated those beautiful harmonies completely with different arrangements and overly operatic singing. I WISH there was a soundtrack to the Brandy version. Tragic they didn’t make one.
I always thought of Kim and her family as trash… this just solidified my opinion. It always appeared to me they are willing to do anything and anyone to be rich and famous.

Josie, your videos are such high quality and I can tell how much research, time, and effort you put into them. They really are like actual documentaries. I've started re-watching some of the older ones because I want to see more from you but you don't put videos out that often. But... I totally understand that considering the time i'm sure it takes to research and make each one.
Anyway, thanks for another great one! The Rogers & Hammerstein Cinderella version was always my top two favorite (2nd to Ever After with Drew Barrymore). Brandy was amazing!
