- Wir starten am roten Tor in Augsburg und kommen anschließend gleich an den Kindheitsträumen der siebziger Jahre d.h. an der berühmten Augsburger Puppenkiste vorbei. Der Rundgang endet beim Vogeltor. Walking through the town of Augsburg in Bavaria in South Germany which was the home of the first German banking dynasty the Fuggers in the Mid Ages. Nearby to Augsburg is the shortest road to Venice in Italy. Augsburg was at the end of the ancient Silk Road and at the beginning of the German Salt road. Both made Augsburg a very rich town in the Mid Ages.

The expanse of the cobblestone streets is astounding for such a large city, so beautiful.
It's amazing how pedestrians, bicyclists, tram cars, automobiles and kids on scooters can all share the road in such an orderly manner. Wouldn't happen in my country.
The sound of the tires on the cobblestones is absolutely delightful too! Reminds me of clipping a poker card in my bicycle spokes as a child, same sound.
Architecture is stunning, what a gorgeous city. Thank you so much Manfred for taking the long walk.

Dear Mr Manfred. Very beautiful video. Where to start. For one a lot of cobblestone for a big city. Beautiful though. The sound of the cars driving on the cobblestone is very appealing at least to me.
Since it is bigger town then from your previous videos that means more people around. The looks on the people as you are walking and videoing it if that is actually a word is priceless.
The traffic light going from red then orange then green is amazing because I've noticed in that format when it turns green people are ready to go. Of course I've noticed that during my trips to Germany.
The colorful picture of the building on the left at seventeenth minute of your video is amazing. I remember that when I visited Augsburg in September of 2017.

@@ManfredAuer well then you come prepared and watch out from lots of cars. And since you are in Bayern will you also be doing video in Freising. I have been there twice myself as I have another relative married to a German gentleman and live in Zolling near by. And was told that Freising is much older then München city. Time wise.

Am Bürgersteig muss aber noch dringend was gemacht werden (am Anfang zu sehen) - das passt gar nicht zum Stadtbild.
Wie überall wurde nach 1990 nicht mehr viel gemacht und die jetzigen Nachbesserungen nerven mich.
The mixture of asphalt and cobbled stones look awful. Germans pay high tax, however, their infrastructure especially their roads look very bad.
