The first one gives the impression of better impact. Like, charging up the breath so much that it goes from normal flames to a purple hue and suddenly it's so heated and focused it doesn't even look like it's at the inside of the mouth anymore
Did u not see where shin charges his from a fire to a focused beam shins beam sound is more accurate for a focused beam of energy atomic energy still energy and shin and use his beams from his back and his tail as shin godzilla the best and scariest godzilla as it can evolve to situations in minutes
That roar by minus one. The camera angle gives you a perfect glimpse of the rage he is feeling. That backdrop of the mushroom cloud intensifies the scene even more
This scene sticks with me! I never thought I'd feel that way about a godzilla movie. But the music and just sheer power of him was incredible in this scene. I don't know how you could top this one.
Shin is the scariest of all. I mean the breath turned into literal condensed laser beam. Plus the buildup, the music and the atmosphere of the scene is unmatched.
In my opinion, it's the minus one thst is the scariest. The plates charging up and going faster with every single one thst becomes charged. The blue air that is comin gout of the godzilla's mouth, the sudden and fast movement to aim the breath and then the MASSIVE beam of light thst just ruptured everything that ends of on a nuclear blast is simply so good.
Lets not forget shin's mutation and evolution, you can't tell me, that shin isn't an embodiment of eldritch horror, this thing just keeps evolving and evolving
Sorry can't agree with shin is way more destructive he destroys everything around him at the start then when it focused into the beam it literally doesn't have a range it just keeps going minus one explodes when it his its target and to be fair we haven't seen what GXK can do with the new godzilla 2000 beam
How he was just throwing up fire engulfing the entire city was incredible and really felt massive in scale and then the power shown from the atomic beam was awesome. Really started to feel like he was a force of nature.

Shin’s atomic breath genuinely is one of the coolest scenes in any movie. I grew up watching things like the Thing ( 1982 ) and Jurassic Park franchise, so seeing something so bright and powerful was really a change of pace from the more “grounded” movies that I usually watched. The build-up to the entire scene was extraordinary as well, making it my personal favorite. Edit: By “grounded” I mean you wouldn’t expect a giant laser-beaming lizard to come out of either film. The Thing is a “virus” like alien and the dinosaurs are self-explanatory, both of these are very real and tangible ideas as “monsters” which is why Shin Godzilla was such a surprise 💕
I love how they made Godzilla a lot more terrifying plus the fact that the music really made my hair raise! Goosebumps and that high pitch ring of his blast!
Minus One is definitely the coolest, but Shin's is just awe inspiring and horrific. It feels involuntary, like it's vomiting up the atomic breath as opposed to launching it. With the music, it's a truly harrowing sequence
Well, technically Shin's athomic breath Is a self defense mechanism not only suited to defend from external dangers, but Is also his only way to eject radiations, that are both a healing mechanism and a poisoning one for him. this Is supported by the fact that the lyrics of "Who Will Know" (the song of the atomic breath scene, Is confirmed that Is singed from the POV of Shin) says "as long as breath come from my mouth" (the atomic breath) "a ray of light Is all I need" (again the atomic breath) "to fight the darkness killing me" (the radiations). So yes, Shin's atomic breath Is a thing that he have to do, whether he wants or not.
i think what made Shin's breath so cool was how weightless it looked, how easy it seared through everything. i hope for a sequel some day. (and i reeeeally wanna know what was on its tail at the end. it was dope as hell)
Mv has the best sound hands down and the music with the build up of minus ones and the way it pans to the people so you know they’re screwed is just perfect.
Shin breath is the most realistic one too. Releasing gases to later light them up and turn it into a weapon, you can actually imagine an advanced creature evolve that way.
Minus one’s beam is more destructive and impactful, the destruction it brings is insanely good especially with the nuke effect. Shin’s one just feels the most uncanny and alien, especially with the sound effect and the laser effect it self just slicing the buildings in an uneasy manner, and I like both equally..
The Shin one just hits the Pefect spot between Epic and Terrifying with the sound and music in the background, and the way it starts out with those flames and dark smoke before going to the actual atomic breath adds so much impact and anticipation for the moment
In general the impact of it is more felt considering That is fucking radiation You see the radiation levels in the film and understand that Holy shit if ANYONE was near that they'd die
notice how the final stage of shin’s atonic breath has a missing space between the mouth and the actual beam. the colour with the highest radiation visibly seen is violet within the EM spectrum. this implies that the missing space contains so much radiation that it is beyond visible light. either ranging from UV radiation to GAMMA RADIATION. (also notice how the main colour defining shin’s appearance is a glowing violet)
Shin's Atomic breath scene is unbeatable. The charge up from a black smoke, igniting to a flame and then to a thin ray that destroys everything is the best. And Shin walking away with fire behind him is the coolest part.
Shin made me feel dread like there is nothing I could do in that situation Minus One made me realize the evils of Godzilla and how it originally was supposed to be like
IDK I didn't like the moving parts of minus 1 it made it seem inorganic and too automated. If they had done it with mechagodzilla it'd be different. Shin Godzilla looked a bit jank like it was a flamethrower on a pole. Monsterverse is nice but the color feels off 😂 also feels more CGI and loses the great rubber suit feels
@@smugundan2827 yeah, I said that. But sometimes things can be CGI without FEELING like CGI, like they could've used a couple practical effects to help it feel more authentic. Better lighting, better setting, using a model or puppet as the base. I have a hard time getting pumped watching CGI smacking CGI and doing CGI damage
Shin Godzilla will always be the Godzilla for me, after all the Godzilla movies I've watched. Shin Godzilla is the only one that made my body frozen still while doing a fire breath. Shin Godzilla is the unstoppable force of destruction that no man can stop. Monsterverse killed the vibe of Godzilla's fire breath by making it use it almost every single fcking shot it is in.
For all of you, think about this. Minus One was terrifying, and MV was cool, but at least they were in control. Shin wasn't using his atomic breath as a weapon. That scene was Shin's body's attempt to dispell all the radiation from his body, which was obviously impossible. Not only that, but it was extremely painful, especially considering his jaw had not split prior to this scene in the film. Shin's atomic breath scene was not just terrifying and epic. It was grotesque and painful.
Shin perfectly captures the feel the original Godzilla was going for - the consequences of our actions. Shin perfectly reflects mankind fucking with nature, and it blowing back in our faces. Shin isn't malicious. Shin isn't out for revenge. Shin is a terrified animal trying to escape the endless pain humanity brought to it.

Shin is definitely the coolest. I’ve never had a reaction like that in a theater before. Myself and every other person in the room were absolutely silent afterward. It was like nothing we had seen before or could imagine. It defied expectation in the most glorious of ways and succeeded at putting the God back in Godzilla. If Minus Zero (which is my new number one) and Legendary are so cool it’s because Shin did it first and gave them the green light to push the creators to be cool again. But obviously all three are god tier Godzilla
ikr. It's like an announcement saying " I'm Godzilla" or something. Its scene that is truly hard to be forgotten. The way Shin make it, you may think of it as trademark of a Godzilla movie.
The sounds in the trailer were purposely dimmed down so it had more of a punch when yoy actually watched the movie. But when you actually watched the movie, its MUCH better than monsterverse. @@AtaurRahmanKanchan
Overall, shin godzilla's atomic breath has the best, yes. But when minus one roars right before he fires his atomic breath, I get the chills everytime.
Minus One. Seeing that in the theater was insane. Great effects, especially with the nuclear fallout. But more importantly, it’s very impactful for the characters. You really feel the destruction as the blast just rips thru everyone and everything.
Yeah, its still way cooler. Minus one is a close second but you can feal the emotion behind Shin's during this secene. -1 Godzilla's breath usage was more like a territorial silverback saying "don't fuck with me" Shin's scene he gets hurt, cries out in pain, and then tries with all of his power to fight back against the entire world in a sad, confusing struggle.
I like Godzilla in Godzilla x kong because i see its not charged up right when charhed up is cool and amazing❤ and he is hero but he attack city😢 in 2021 and 2024 👇👍
The Shin Godzilla scene was the best, but I gotta say, Minus One comes awfully close with that devastating impact, and how absolutely brutal the shockwave was.
Don't think Hideaki Anno would want to do another one. He's already exhausted from like 30 years f Evangelion I don't see us getting a sequel and if it ain't directed by him it won't hit the same.
@@covidsurvivor2039 that’s a great point. I wonder what it will be called 🤔 Maybe Godzilla zero. But I think it was called minus one bc Japan already lost ww2 so they were at “0” then Godzilla comes and hurts them further so -1. But tbh it would be interesting to see what they call it!
The reason that the atomic breath transitions to fire is that shin Godzilla possesses no intelligence whatsoever to stop, therefore exhausting himself, he has also been seen resting on the field of battle
Nothing can beat that scene,it's my favorite scene in all of film actually. The glorious opera music in the background, the sheer destruction, the way it looks. Everything. It's amazing.
@BruhboiasjrAh I seen it 5 times already and just by watching the minus one godzilla doing his atomic breathe ill say it's cool but yeah they could've done a bit better
Shin Still has best overall, the music, the thin beams erupting from his back and mouth, the smoggy fire beforehand, and the destruction. Although, minus one is super rad, the spines all clicking back in at the moment of fire paints him more like a gun than a monster, and that's a pretty cool poetic narrative for one of the most aggressive Godzillas out there.
I think the coolest one to me right now is Minus One Goji since after you see him fire it, it also effects him but he heals himself faster then it effects him
Shin Godzilla not only has the coolest Atomic breath, but he can also channel it to shoot from his spines as well. freaking epic. Everything about his Atomic Breath scene hits every mark, it’s so amazing. Then the part with waking away with the fire behind him is such a classic Godzilla shot.
I still love shin's above the others because of the multi-faceted "oh shit" of it all, with it getting badly injured, stopped moving, opening it's mouth, opening it's mouth AGAIN, sending out smoke, then a massive fire plume, then it gathering it all together into a more pinpoint Lazer, then shooting it OUT OF HIS BACK, and then shutting down all together, looking like he genuinely feels remorseful for all the destruction he just caused, all while an incredibly emotional song plays will always be peak atomic breath for me
I still choose the Shin Gojira. It was just that you found out the terror he is set tk become.. The slow change from blazing flame to a fully functional plasma beam is downright insane
putting yourself in one of the citizen's shoes. And seeing the whole thing in effect... Is exactly like watching those catastrophical disaster in person. You'd shit bricks the moment you saw the fire engulfing an entire city, then come the beam ... You'd question your very existence's significance by that point.
Shin Godzilla's is definitely one of the best but Minus One Godzilla's atomic breath is the greatest imo. The build up with the dorsal spikes and then the sudden slam and firing of the atomic breath ending with a mushroom cloud at the point of impact is just so godly awesome.
Yeah. To pretty much eludicate: Original: A metaphor of the horrors of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Shin: The horrors of nuclear warfare... from the King of the Monsters' perspective, resulting in a creature equal parts hauntingly tragic, terrifyingly Lovecraftian and absolutely awe-inspiring. A balance that shows what Godzilla actually stands for, not only for what the character's creator conceived him as, but also showing the absolute force of nature Godzilla truly is. In other words, putting the "God" in "Godzilla". Minus One: The horrors of war made flesh. Death. The Destroyer of Worlds.
The way shin godzilla charges the breath weapon is extremely creative and stunning in my opinion. The transition from firery breath to hyper concentrated beam both visually and audibly is stunning and adds a sense of weight to the attack over the other two that just charge up and fire. The other two feel unceremonious whereas the shin beam feels like discovery. Theres so much to gush about how they handled it.
Without a doubt the dark smoke with his second eyelid closing kinda like a welding helmet to then unleash a firery breath to only concentrate it till it reach’s beam form is absolutely stunning
I prefer Legendary Godzilla in general, but the way that Shin’s breath intensifies as it’s fired is awesome; and Minus One’s breath firing like a railgun is pretty cool too.
Shin turning his flaming breath into atomic one is really cool accompanied by the choir , it adds a genuine horror element to the movie also the fact that he's constantly in pain adds up to that fact
Look Minus One's Atomic breath was awesome and had dark similarities with the bombs dropping BUT Shin Goji ATB was amazing plus the musical track playing in the background explaining how he wants to die but can't because his body won't allow it is both beautiful and sad
Shin is the most terrifying one I’ve ever seen. It’s like the end of the world destruction, especially when it can turn into laser from the mouth, fins and tail!!!
If you cut shin godzilla's Head the head will take some time to grow a new body and the old shin's body will grow it's head back also if shin godzilla got his flesh slice the flesh will grow into a godzilla.
I believe that they are both tied. Minus-One and Shin are both amazing in it. The silence for Minus-One showed how terrifying it was, and the music for Shin showed how much pain Shin went through in all of it's evolutions, and how it wished how it could be at peace.
Minus One's breath itself may LOOK cooler, but if we are talking the scene itself and not the specific kaiju, Shin is still better. The backing track really sells that scene.
The transition from flaming propulsion to nuclear propulsion in shin was god tier.
And the choir music was the cherry on top. It was art
Yea shin godzilla's charge up and bg music makes better. But no hate for others too.

The first one gives the impression of better impact. Like, charging up the breath so much that it goes from normal flames to a purple hue and suddenly it's so heated and focused it doesn't even look like it's at the inside of the mouth anymore
Nothing can really compare to the billowing eruption of flames slowly condensing into that piercing purple beam.

Would you believe the breath is all practical effects and they melted the animatronic for that shot
Shin Godzilla came out a couple years ago dude… after Godzilla 2014 in fact. So how was that a change of pace for you?

Minus One is definitely the coolest, but Shin's is just awe inspiring and horrific. It feels involuntary, like it's vomiting up the atomic breath as opposed to launching it. With the music, it's a truly harrowing sequence
nah you got that reversed, Shin’s would be the coolest and M1 would be involuntary, the impact and emotion in M1 just tops over shin’s.
