Super Positive about all cameras in this review. Great review, We went with the Sony FS7M2, The auto ND filters are worth it!!! I actually like the locking mechanism because I rent expensive glass and I like the extra protection.I hate when people dog other camera makers and users! New subscriber!
Hi Chris, thank you for the great review. I was wondering why the Canon 300ii was not mentioned since its price has dropped significantly to under $10K, Also, what camera did you use for your video review. Looks real nice. Thank you again.
The C200 is new and a good comparison to the FS7II. There were many cameras we could compare it to, we picked 3. You're right the C300 II is in that space as well. We shot all of the A-Roll on a URSA Mini 4k. The B-Roll was shot on a Canon 1DX MKII.
That's all fine and good, but this is a completely different category of video camera. This is a camera approved by Netflix to do high-end cinematic work, but it can also do electronic news gathering. The G7, G85, and GX8, GX9, and G9 are quite capable, but they're not on this level. You could argue that the GH5 and GH5s compete with this camera because they also shoot 10-bit 4:2:2 and are compatible with an XLR adapter. But even then, the Super 35mm sensor, shoulder mount, and built-in ND filters on this camera make it a true professional tool.
The nice thing is, if you are unsatisfied with the screen / loupe viewfinder solution, you can buy an accessory monitor and viewfinder of better quality.

I shoot with the Panasonic G7 and the 25mm f/1.7 prime lens.
I love the G7. Still using the kit lens though.
TechLineHD Panasonic g7 + 14-42mm kit + 25mm f/1.7 is almost a complete kit!! I've been really amazed by the results!!

Whew! Slow down! I nearly missed the comment about the inadequate viewfinder.
