I'm so tired of hearing how a 'young boy lost his mother at a young age'. I have 5 siblings, making us a family of 8 - we were far from 'well off' while growing up and the 8 of us shared 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (for perspective). Our father died at age 46 while my 2 older brothers were fighting in the Viet Nam war, I was 13 and the 3 younger ones were 10 and the youngest two (twins) were just 6 years old and were left with a single parent, our mother, who was bipolar. We didn't blame anyone, we didn't hate anyone, we didn't seek out anyone and everyone to heap our revenge upon for being dealt those challenges, we didn't whine and cry about what life had plopped in front of us: we dealt with it, we grew up, we watched out for one another, and every one of us ended up with professional careers, paying our own way through school and higher education by working full time while attending school full time. Prince Harry, I believe, is so lost in his pity party that he can't see the forest for the trees. He doesn't need lawyers and court cases: he needs full time psychological help. I am concerned for those around him should he lose these cases, lose his marriage, lose custody of his children through divorce (which, to me, seemed imminent from the day they wed - I gave that marriage 5 years and I was being generous at the time), and lose both his own country and be deported from the USA. He was on top of the mountain and through his own immaturity and delusions, is now beneath that mountain and I'm not sure he has the mental strength or capability to survive all that may be coming down the path at him. If he has a psychotic break, I fear for those in and around his personal space. As for his "popularity" in the USA, I assure you that has been exaggerated by the media - most of us couldn't care less he's here, the rest just want him to go home; he may be (or he may have been) popular in/around Montecito, CA, but I'm at the opposite end of the USA in Massachusetts and he isn't *all that* here and never was.

There are ways to live a more private life when you are a public person. He has attempted to do none of those.
He was busy finding the new drug to try and cursing the miserable life he had to live for being born in the RF, it never crossed his mind that he could be a doctor, a surgeon, a teacher and have a private life; of course that required sacrifice and dedication and he was not and is not there for that.
He could have stayed done his work for the Royal family and he would have had a more private life
Indeed, there are many A-listers who manage it, but both H & M's prime aim appears to be putting themselves out there as often as they can. If it's not finger-wagging and sermonising, then it's the claims they make about their own righteousness. You cannot just talk about being a humanitarian and collect awards without actually putting in a bit of work.Then, of course, we have Oprah, Netflix, Spare, the article in The Cut, and the way they treated both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. What planet to they live on where it's possible to do all that they do and not only never have to accept responsibility or criticism for it, but also see their own actions as being the fault of everyone else?

Agree. You know, there are plenty of big celebs who keep to themselves, and aren’t in the press every bloody day. I’m in CA, LA, actually, the land of gigantic egos, and it can happen, you do whatever, and go home. Lots of them do it.
He did it all himself - he was the drunken teen, he was the one falling out of nightclubs, he was the one who wore the obscene fancy dress costume, he was the one using illegal drugs... yet HE blames everyone else for his behaviour. The thing that really got me was the privileged pampered prince couldn't understand why the 'public' would be interested in his publicly funded life! He doesn't need to win this or any of the others he has in the pipeline - he needs Mental Health Intervention.
He has had mental health problems which as a teen played out in unhealthy behaviors because of traumas not dealt with , where were the adults making sure he got the proper help ? Thankfully he found the love of a magnificent woman and he has taken responsibility by having the therapy he badly needed. If you think just because he is a prince and was publicly funded that means the press can intrude on personal phone calls say all manner of abusive articles and lies , then you have dehumanized him and lack emotional intelligence ,empathy to understand that he is empowered not a victim , because he had the courage to do the work in therapy and take control of his life. Think William needs to get mental health support for his anger issues he threw his brother and wife under the bus to save himself which is very cowardly !

Their website touts a full array of support services and interest in mental health. I’m sure he was asked about his mental health by family and counselors but did he lie or deny? William also suffered the intense scrutiny far worse...he and Catherine were hacked over 160 times...( Harry 5) Her parents were hacked and they were hounded by the Press. Because the client, despite Counsels advice to the contrary, insisted on putting his case forward, he believes he us right, he believes that he has every right say what he likes about whom he likes, but no- one has the right to invade his privacy. I’m curious as to why his obvious drug use while on Active duty is not questioned? Why was he allowed to get away with it when other military members were probably kicked out after a positive drug test?

I read quite a while ago that army soldiers are subjected to random drugs test but Harry was allowed to leave the camp when they knew they were there.

The only sympathy that he could possibly elicit would be in relation to his obvious mental health problems not because of any press intrusion that he "suffered".
I recently saw a box full of Harry's book 'Spare' at a local charity shop all going for 50 pence each. I was surprised because they all looked brand new, hardly second hand.

There would be sympathy for him had he left the UK for a private life but he has done everything to put himself in the public eye since he moved while divulging private details about other people without their permission. This just creates suspicion that he didn't really have a case to begin with but simply wanted another platform to whine about his childhood. Too bad he doesn't spend his time, energy and money getting some qualified, professional help to get his life in perspective and on track.

How do I think people heal from trauma? Not by inflicting trauma onto others ~ such as Harry has repeatedly done to his family members.
I do not expect a stiff upper lip ~ I expect a man to not abuse the court system and respect their time. And today I hear Harry admits to not have any evidence of phone hacking. And over and over again, it has been shown that stories about Harry were informed in other ways. So what is this about? Is this dealing with trauma? Is this therapy by lawyer/barrister? Is this rewriting history? Harry’s shallow thinking throughout his life regarding this coverage that made him the most popular Royal as a young man (besides the Queen), is on full display.
You may think he has taken ‘full responsibility’ of something ~ but this entire hearing, has been of Harry blaming the tabloids for his worst life decisions. His book was the same. Harry takes no responsibility for his past or harm to others. None. I think real bravery would be doing just that, not chasing the shadows of a 20 year old scandal that is not relevant today. Real bravery and decency would be apologizing to his father, step-mother, brother, sister-in-law. Whilst I agree that it must have been difficult living through his younger life with such press intrusion it must be looked into where the blame for that lies and what he has done since and why his mental health is so bad now. His mother was one of the first 'Royals' to quite openly manipulate the press to, not only bolster her own image, but also damage the image of her then husband. Diana effectively opened the door to the 'paparazzi' style of press behaviour which was almost unknown at that point here in the UK. After the Levenson enquiry things changed again and almost reverted back to the pre-Diana days for the Royal family.
Then we have to look at what Harry has done since and why his paranoia about the Press and 'leaking' etc seems to have increased beyond all rational bounds in the last few years, seemingly as his estrangement from his family had began and increased. I think his wife has an awful lot to do with his actions over the last few years, from his increased paranoia to his book, the Netflix series etc..all of which have destroyed his own privacy and that of much of his family. He complains incessantly about our Press yet moves to LA where the Press is almost totally unfettered (no equivalent of the Levenson Enquiry there) and then proceeds to complain about their Freedom of Speech which is a huge part of the American Constitution. It doesn't surprise me that he is fully supportive of moves to try and suppress/revoke the 1st Amendment, especially with the US equivalent of the 'Online Harms Bill', as that also seems to be what he is trying to do here as well with this case being a part of that.
King Charles must have his head in his hands over this, especially with Harry also taking a dig at the current government, which could be a huge Constitutional problem. Harry also seems to be using the case to have yet another snipe at people who have upset his wife or those who she may think have snubbed her (Piers Morgan amongst others). . Unfortunately, for Harry, Justice is blind to feelings, only hard evidence is weighed in her scales.
His and her quest for attention is so pathetic, it's SICKENING.

It's important to maintain freedom of press. What he wants is to censor news/media outlets that don't agree or question his narrative. He talks about "reforming" but in reality what he wants to accomplish is censorship. And that just isn't acceptable. Freedom of press, of speech, are important elements in a democratic world. If he has an issue with negative press, perhaps he should worry about changing his deplorable and arrogant behavior; maybe then the press would start putting out more positive news of him
