The repair sector is full of thieves. I am a repairer of electronic gear and know usually the componets are very cheap (most, not all). I charge mostly for my time and the knowledge acquired over the decades working on this. But I have seen other people charging 3x and even 4 or 5x for the same job. And usually done to lower quality standards. Go figure...
