Try to start the braid from the forehead while making it super tight as you can. Wouldn't be a bad idea If you got some support on this one. Because it could require a helping hand for the result to turn out good. Maybe a friend or family. Perhaps its a matter of taste. But In my humble opinion- the braid looks a lot better when its at its tightest. Because the patterns In the braid will look a lot more symmetrical as well.
