If you told me it was a bucker I honestly would believe you. It’s like a really articulate bucker mixed with the raunchiness of a P90. It also does cancel the hum. I spoke with schecter who essentially clarified the pickups are spec’ed identically to the Nick Johnston pickups. I have zero desire to change them and I’m normally pretty quick to swap pups.
not a metal guys favourite for sure and much more pricey outside the US but it will have its fans, especially for people who always get bored of the same old Fender Strats
As Mark Knopfler would attest, Schecter has always been a great platform for creating a decent instrument. This guy could pretty much pick any guitar he wanted. Of course, he loved his Fenders, Gibsons, Steinbergers and Pensa-Suhrs. But he also used several customised Schecters particularly during the golden years of Dire Straits. Good enough for Knopfler. Good enough for the rest of us.
Oh, that double singlecoil thing at the bridge is a nice Idea. I'm in the middle of building a HS Strat myself.. that could be a intresting wiring Idea. Glad Somone Cam up with a new Idea in the strat market .-)
Sounds like a toy, looks like one too. The neck is way too small, it looks like a guitar for little boys, and appears too small for the guy playing it. Why is the nut so narrow on all these 'copycat' brands, like Schecter, Ibanez, ESP... whereas the big 3 American brands all use at least 43 mm nut? There are too many unforced errors like this in the guitar world. It can't be comfortable to play, good luck hybrid picking the adjacent string with such a tight string spacing. If it didn't have the ooga booga dark neck its sound wouldn't stand this thing on its feet. Indeed when you look at the ones with a maple neck, you think you're looking at something from a pawn shop or a gimmicky Squier. And not sure why it's called a multi voice when it's just a 5 way strat. The only innovation here is that you aren't hitting a pickup with your pick, which is nice, but you still get a lot of funk tones that result from having a middle pickup. This demo was trash, he talked the whole time and played a few power chords on some shitty SS practice amp, and basically it sounded like shit. Not sure why this guy has half a million subs. Why tf do reviewers talk about the specs which are easily seen on any website? They never give any insight that is worth saying out loud that would result from holding the thing - which we cannot, since in this corporate trash world, everything is online and we have to take these annoying gambles ordering guitars sight unseen. Garbage guitar, garbage review.
I just recently got this guitar (in a different color) and I absolutely love it. It's lighter than my Fender Player series and has a better neck and frets. I also like the placement of the truss rod adjustment.
I had to revisit this one. I went to a Jelly Roll concert. The guitarist had to be sponsored by Schecter. One of them played strickly this exact guitar as well
the omen in like circa 2001 was purple with one duncan designed emg bridge pickup and a solid black seymour duncan designed "in the bridge" single coil. that guitar was green apples to me. failure is naught a op
If you receive a complimentary guitar for review, it constitutes a sponsored video. The incentive of receiving the guitar can potentially introduce bias, whether consciously acknowledged or not.
Great review and great playing. I am interested in this and the NJ HSS and until I get to try them out, I'm trying to narrow it down just in terms of the common denominators and disqualifiers. My two mains concerns with this guitar are 1) the slanted pickups. I would think this would result in potentially less tight and flabbier bottom end, and a more brittle top end. 2) I do want the noise reduction benefit of a humbucker, but since this guitar isn't a true humbucker, does that mean it has more noise than a normal humbucker? Or does it at least less noisy than regular single coils?
Fluff! Dude you gotta see if you can get your hands one of those new Emily Wolfe white Wolf guitars! I want to buy one, but I’d love to have your opinion first.. lol
I owned an F50 for a decade. Great amp. Cleans are beautiful, a bit on the dark side. When they discontinued it, the replacement was the Express series. Pretty sure it's the same clean circuit, just with the ability to change wattage between 5 & 50. A used F50 isn't that expensive, either. I tried out a bunch of amps, and even my girlfriend who knew nothing about guitar immediately said, "You should buy that one."
Well, to be perfectly honest here, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one`s view and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one`s valid opinion, i honestly believe that i completely forgot what i was going to say ..ah i remember, its @ 1200€ here in germany, thats a bit too much in my opinion 😑..cheers 🎸🎸
An unusually-high markup in price it seems... maybe if you vacation to the 'States you could bring one back to Germany with you? :) Cheers! edit: or maybe try talking down the price in a local brick & mortar guitar shop there... they're still run by people, right?
@@keithclayton1271 i would have to pay tax for it so no benefit here, the overly huge unusual price difference with this model is a deal braker for me, i fact, i love schecter and their pricing has always been fair so far imo and i really hope that this is just an exception with this model
Squier did the same thing a couple of years ago. Looks exactly the same wxcwpt for the neck. Squier contemporary Stratocaster. Schecter simply copied Squier with the pickup design.
You should do a comparison between this and the Squier Contemporary Strat Special. They’re basically the exact same guitar except the Squier has a roasted maple neck and only half the price of the Schecter.
You should demo the triple coil pickup guitar they made .
That would be cool!
Yeah. And remove 1, doing 2 Double humbucker guitars
I absolutely adore my MV-6. Such a versatile instrument.
I really want to check one out, does the humbucker sound like a real one?
If you told me it was a bucker I honestly would believe you. It’s like a really articulate bucker mixed with the raunchiness of a P90. It also does cancel the hum.

@@PatrickRussellMusic you're not helping I was hoping the opposite was true so I could justify not buying one 🤪
How stable is the trem ? Does it stay in tune well when you use the trem ?
@@ThBraveBraveSirRobinit’s been rock solid for me. I’m not a super heavy trem user, but I’ve never feared using it live.

man this guitar looks and sounds absolutely incredible. It's appearance is truly breathtaking.

Normally not a Strat(ish) guy but this is so cool and loaded with vibes.

Garbage guitar, garbage review.
finally mv 6 review, did by fluff too, thank you very much.
Finally. Been waiting for it
Always comes through with awesome reviews and video's. Thanks
This is wild, I recently bought a 90s Charvel that did this same idea (stacked single coils to make a humbucker).
I just recently got this guitar (in a different color) and I absolutely love it. It's lighter than my Fender Player series and has a better neck and frets. I also like the placement of the truss rod adjustment.
Can it sound like fender as well?
@Perearst3 Mostly yes. The double coils at bridge pickup have less highs than single coil Fender at bridge.
@@suserman7775 thnx. I want to buy my first strat-like guitar. Thinking between this and G&L s500. I have no opportunity to try them.
It's one of my dream guitars! Along with the Hellraiser V Apocalypse!
Cool guitar, I do wonder how they stack up against Charvel. They have some nice guitars in the same price range as well.
I had to revisit this one. I went to a Jelly Roll concert. The guitarist had to be sponsored by Schecter. One of them played strickly this exact guitar as well
that was Jack Fowler. He has his own signature guitar similar to this
the omen in like circa 2001 was purple with one duncan designed emg bridge pickup and a solid black seymour duncan designed "in the bridge" single coil. that guitar was green apples to me. failure is naught a op
I wanted this guitar the moment they announced it.
Do a Marshall DSL 100 HR demo. That amp is NASTY. Best Marshall I’ve heard in a long time.

Less noisy. Does have a bit of the single coil sound but a wrap at the nut keeps that from happening, at least on mine.
@ interesting to know. Thank you.
I have been looking for a strat style that is different. This might be the one to try out before buying
Thats pretty great . My ideal guitar would have a hum single. Just wish they would move the volume knob on all these s types
HS guitars are great. I’ve always thought they weren’t widely available enough.
I actually think the volume is in a perfect position. I never end up bumping it when I’m playing
Great playing👏Does this guitar have a neck dive issue, like the Gibson SG?
Does it stay in tune after using the whammy bar? Great channel
Can you tell us whats under that pickguard
Fluff! Dude you gotta see if you can get your hands one of those new Emily Wolfe white Wolf guitars! I want to buy one, but I’d love to have your opinion first.. lol
That's sweet. Would be cool with a hardtail though. Have you tried the Mesa Boogie F50 or F100? If so, what are your thoughts on those?

Fender has a similar configuration.
This guitar looks like a great candidate for a Seymour Duncan Hyperswitch
Wish it came with stainless frets.

Oh the Squier Strat Contemporary…. Umm
Cool guitar, but for $900!?!? Could do a partscaster for half that and do all those tones...
With a wenge neck?? Can’t wait for your video.

Schecter can take a pile of strat and make it sound and play great.
Singbucker 🤣
Contemporary Stratocaster Special is $450
Not as spec-ed out and refined as the Schecter though.
Imagine reviewing a single-coiled strat and only playing metal on it. Go learn how to play lol
900$ for Indonesia made guitar....... no
